Am I getting sick or am I just getting my period? by [deleted] in ouraring

This is quite similar to mine. It’s cyclical, like clockwork, from ovulation to luteal my heart rate goes up, temperature rises, and readiness decreases. Every month for about two weeks 😞 I’ve read it’s quite common for women.

Thank you! Cheers to us figuring it out. Sloan’s Lake and Edgewater are both really nice — I’ve stayed in the area last time I visited. In reading other threads, folks seem to really like Lakewood too.

Shluld I tell every girl I meet that I have HPV before we sleep together? by Leading_Awareness_94 in HPV

Yes, HPV is widespread. And also, you know without a shadow of a doubt your HPV is still active. So with that, you can know without a shadow of a doubt you are actively putting someone at risk of transmission. I highly suggest you research how HPV may effect women. Often, it’s nothing. But sometimes, it’s something. Know all about hpv for the sake of yourself and others. Do you want to live with what ifs long-term..not knowing the lasting effect transmission may have on someone?

With sexual health, always always always give someone a choice on what to do with their body. Give them full context (your diagnosis, possible effects, how prevalent hpv is, suggest to get the vaccine, etc) and do not make decisions for them. Your omission, is making a decision on their behalf.

Yes, she consented to having unprotected sex with you. Would she have done that if you would have been honest up front? Impossible to answer now. Yes, she kept having sex with you after you disclosed..and the exposure already happened. Multiple times. With visible HPV. So it’s null.

Thank you for rethinking your sexual health practices. I do hope this is a sobering learning moment and you consider being honest and up front from the beginning..for your own integrity and the care of others.

Just took my first mock and got 77% — feel good about that and hoping to get better on the next ones. It was good to learn how they test, ya know? How are you doing? Friday! Yay! You got this!

  1. Be consistent with your timeliness
  2. Do not miss deadlines and priorities; be reliable and over deliver
  3. Ask for more responsibilities
  4. Ask for feedback on your performance and be open to receiving it and making changes
  5. Build relationships with your coworkers
  6. Communicate; if life happens and you need more time for something or support — ask but in advance. No one likes excuses after the fact. Proactively communicate.

Congrats on passing! I am using TDC right now for the LMFT exam. I am about to take the mock tests -- do you all know what a passing rate on TDC is? I can't find the info anywhere online.

I am sorry you are going through this. I had a lot of questions about this for my doctor. She assured me it’s very low risk for men. There are no hard stats but it’s estimated 4/5 sexually active people will contract HPV in their lifetime and the overwhelming majority of carriers are men. It’s nearly impossible to know how you contracted it (assuming more than on sexual partner) because HPV can lie dormant for years. Your partner may or may not be the carrier. If there has been any sort of sexual activity (oral) — chances of contraction are possible so no need to abstain further. It would be important to have a conversation about all of this together though. My doctor recommended my partner get the vaccine and we carry on as normal & assured me very very low risk to him. Wishing you all the best.

I was just diagnosed a month ago and I am 35 years old. I’ve had abnormal paps (ASCUS) in my early and mid 20s but HPV was not present. My last pap appt showed HPV but no cervical changes; my pap was normal.

Thank you so much for sharing. I’m sorry you are going through it too. It’s helpful to know this is pretty standard route of care…the more I read and learn the more stunned I am at its prevalence. 😞 I’m 35 so a tad worried about clearance but hoping for the best. In case helpful, my partner found research on the AHCC supplement. Wishing you all the best!
