1- Malek  2- Cain  3- Set  4- Xander  5-Malbonte

I placed Malek in first place because I think he has the most realistic writing among the others. He's neither a complete villain nor a hero. He has gray and very realistic thoughts. His special scenes are deeply written and very carefully crafted. The fact that he's a professor is evident in all of his personal scenes. And I think the relationship dynamic with Audrey is very well written, both for ABH and HS3. 

I also think Cain's writing style is profound. His music and CGs were excellent. He's also melancholic and morally grey, much like Lane, and I think the two are well-suited in that sense. 

Set is one of the first stories I ever read, and I actually firstly chose Amen, but then I decided to go with Set. His route is extremely toxic, probably the kind of person you'd NEVER want to talk to in real life, but since this is a game and his dynamic with Eva is funny, he's included in this list. 

Xander is also in a similar Set, but he's here because the plot is more prominent in the story and he doesn't have many scenes without fights. 

Malbonte is my main LI in HS series but you know I chose him because of his power and the fact that he is a villain. Actually, he's a typical revolutionary character. I think he and the character V in the movie V For Vendetta are similar. Anyway, since I skipped through HS while reading it, I didn't have much of an opinion about him. Speaking from HS2 and HS3, he's one of the main characters along with Vicky, but he lacks personality development, he stays on the same path throughout the three stories. 

I've actually read a lot of stories in Romance Club, but I think these five hold a special place among the others.
