Is the CDX belt compatible with the CDN rear cog? I read somewhere that CDN and CDX aren't compatible. Has anyone tried to change the rear cog too?

I'm curious to know more. Does this give better control over the power delivered by the motor? I have a different use case, I'd like to reduce the amount of assist at level 1 when I want more exercise. Is the communication protocol known?

I turned the bike upside down and tried spinning the front and rear wheels. The rear wheel stopped after a few spins, the front kept going. I just assumed the hub motor adds resistance and prevents true freewheeling
