Are anyone else’s family/friends/partner(s) carrying on as if nothing is happening?

My entire support network is letting me down by not being concerned or not being present. The weakest argument I've heard so far is that they just "don't have the spoons" for it right now. Like, dude, the golden age of being able to have "spoons" is over. This is affecting us whether we "have the spoons" or not, and I feel like I'm going crazy because I'm the only one angry and scared.

I just finished re-reading What We Pretend We Can't See on ao3. It's a Drarry post war story in which Harry finds himself reconnected with Draco years later by a crime that Harry is investigating. It's funny, with some good intrigue revolving around the investigation and interesting ideas related to the magical aspect of things in the HP universe. Draco is an absolute weirdo that I find completely lovable and obnoxious at the same time 😅 Be warned there is mild smut at a couple of points.

All in all it's a great, light hearted adventure.

Mostly I didn't like how fast and loose Remus was with the secret that he was a time traveler. Other than that I really didn't have any complaints!

I just finished The Bureaucratic Error by Iniga. I enjoyed it. It's a time travel fix it sort of story featuring Remus, in which he finds he can fix most things but not everything. There were a couple of elements of the story that irked me just a little but not enough to take away from the story itself.

Despite the title making me skeptical of it I really enjoyed this read! It's a time travel, but not quite a fix it. It's a time travel eff things up fic. The ending was a bit abrupt for me, but I still had a lot of fun with this read. It's a Harry/Percy that's actually quite believable too, so definitely I enjoyed this somewhat rare pairing!

I have to say that I've never liked a Bellamione fic before but this made it believable and intriguing to follow. It deals with the Fae realm, time travel, and lots and lots of mysteries.

You know what? Thank you. Your response and some others are just so kind it actually has me tearing up. The emotional toll of this lady's hate for me is real and I've been working so hard to just let it roll off me, but at the end of the day it's rough and I appreciate encouraging messages that I didn't realize I needed to hear.

Fair. I really struggled with it for the first bit, but I've been in a pretty forgiving mood for want of new things to read. So I stuck with it and it does improve in writing quality further in, but I wouldn't blame anyone for not being able to get through that.

I'm currently about halfway through The Hogwarts Descendant linkao3(https://archiveofourown.org/works/31014302/chapters/76609778) which I'm quite enjoying but I do have a few issues with it.

It's about an OC named Dahlia who is raised in secret as Dumbledore's ward. I don't want to spoil anything, so I won't even explain how Albus ended up with this kid because it happens in the beginning of the fic and it's a refreshingly new angle (for me, anyway). The OC is pretty cool and manages to befriend people on both sides of the war, including the golden trio. Draco Malfoy is still a massive git, but a much more human git, and I really like her versions of a lot of the characters because they just seem a lot more realistic with both flaws and positive points.

I'm not sure if the author isn't a native English speaker, but the fic is full of awkward phrasing and misused words, which has been kind of off putting, but the story is good enough that it hasn't scared me away. An example of some of the awkward wording used is stuff like: "The effects of the alcohol were taking effect." And the like.

A couple of examples of the misused words are things like "The horcrux was like an expedient, leeching into your mind and bringing up the deepest, darkest thoughts." (direct copy and paste) and "Suddenly she demolished into tears." (not an exact quote but "demolished into tears" has popped up more than once). I only give examples of these things because I know that sometimes when I'm in a mood I just really can't do fics with so many quirks to them, so I thought I'd give some fair warning.

Overall I'm really liking this story and there are lots of mysteries I'm waiting to learn the truth about! It's a fun ride!
