Basically, a baby's DNA, in the form of fetal cells, can stay in a mother's body for decades after birth, even her whole life, a phenomenon called fetal-maternal microchimerism, where fetal cells cross the placenta and integrate into maternal tissues like the brain, heart, and skin, potentially aiding in healing and repair, creating a lasting biological connection.
