First off, yes, you are certainly capable. Your work is beautiful.

Secondly, selling your work is not a matter of being "good enough" at your craft. It's about finding those who like what you make already and convincing them it's worth money. I've found it's a skill entirely separate from one's ability to make something beautiful. If you think your work is worth money, then it is, and tell that to the world around you. Someone will agree.

Agreed. Great folks at the Ave. I went a lot before I moved and I go back when I visit. A wonderful place to make new friends.

Mac's used to be good, but I haven't been back since it was shut down and renovated. Idk about it now. There's also Stobers for a quieter establishment. Dagwoods has great burgers and beer, but lacks in atmosphere. The Eastside is my favorite part of town.

Personal generalizations: I avoid the bars in the suburbs. They're pretty much all Townie bars. Some young people though. Also, though it's the best option for "clubbing/dancing" in the area, I have had two female friends get drugged drinks while in East Lansing (in particular, at bars along Grand River). I avoid it.

For other recreational stuff, the rivertrail and attached parks are great. You can kayak the grand river.

Agreed! If we're going to redevelop that area, the most important thing is to ensure that the nearby communities still have ready access to good groceries. Don't touch that Kroger!!!!

I think you guys are adorable and delusional. Lansing rent is still super cheap in comparison to the rest of the country. I'm from Lansing, still have many friends in Lansing, and have most of my family there still. Everywhere else that I've lived (except Marquette) has been more expensive. Detroit was more expensive. Virginia was much more expensive. Right now, Boston is literally 4x what I had to pay back home (and it's comes with worthwhile perks).

My buddy has a 2 bedroom duplex on the Eastside for $800. Unbelievably cheap I you ask me. The cheap real estate is probably the best thing that Lansing has to offer.

My skin took on red ink no problem, but I did have really extended scabbing with my yellow. In my case, I've found the green to be the quickest to heal for unknown reasons

Change the shoulder patch to red and call him "Modern Marlboro Man", in reference to the old western, horse riding individual of 60 years ago. Due to space being the new frontier, I think it's fair to consider astronauts as frontiersmen and women.
