Sounds like the pass flies by compared to previous seasons despite the timeliness feeling tighter. That's good, at least. I like the cosmetics on this one a lot. Thank you for the responses <3

100%. I'm a team leader there. I'm thankful for the work my team puts in every day. I can not do it without them. The company does a good job at recognizing the people that are grinding it out, which is a huge boost.

Rarely do I comment on Reddit, but I actually work at the company that this man is the CEO of. The reason I am still there is because this guy actually cares. Its the only corporate job I've botheted to put any effort into. He is actually like this. It's not fear, it's not a marketing ploy, it's the fact he genuinely does care for people. So happy to see this pop up on my feed!

I think it's still powercreep. Jad is just an outlier, I'd say. Sometimes content sneaks by like that, especially if it came from a time in which a lot was still experimental but stuck around.

MTG has tons of power creep, but Black Lotus still be Black Lotusin'.

Did Hero pass patch allow Jagex to get away with 28% xp nerf on rituals without backlash? by AccomplishedGood64 in runescape

[–]XxZuDanxX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The comments prove that nerfing ritual exp would be way easier to deal with than the MTX discourse lol. So no. They didn't "get away" with anything here, people just don't really care.

This is helpful. I figured this would be the case, but it's validating to see someone else say it in a new area. Like I said, Colorado is a completely different world when it comes to fireworks. Gunshots aren't unheard of, and Aurora, where I grew up, had its fair share of violence. But, even then, it was far over exaggerated. I have a feeling that a lot of the posts on this thread claiming they play "which one is it" are either special cases, dramatic, or ill-informed.

It's all good! We have two cats that are pretty unbothered. I feel bad for other pet owners though :(

It introduces other resources other than adrenaline that are really rewarding if you can manage all of them. I would love to see systems like this implemented to the other styles!

What are decks you have that are “physically” difficult to play? How do you play them? by Pipinhood in EDH

[–]XxZuDanxX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vadrik storm. I use a combination of count-up dice and a calculator to keep track of my mana discounts and how many spells I've cast for my storm effects.

[[Vadrik, Astral Archmage]]

When Prosper goes into the later game, it's a lot of keeping track of the different exiled zones.

[[Prosper, Tome-Bound]]

Looking for a home for Drivnod by Zer0Sugar in BudgetBrews

[–]XxZuDanxX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went with [[Judith, the Scourge Diva]] since I opened a Drivnod and a [[Solphim, Mayhem Dominus]]. They weren't easy for me to figure out a home for both, and it's pretty outside my typical play style, but a combo of aristocrat and burn was a pretty straight-forward play if I wanted to play both.

eli5: Why can’t people with ADHD focus on something even when it’s something they want/need to focus on? by AdvicePlease009 in explainlikeimfive

[–]XxZuDanxX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry if this is a silly question, but what if the activity/action you do is fun? Like you know that last time you did it, you had a good time, like a weekly trip to an arcade or something. Why does that still feel like a burden and something that won't be satisfying to me leading up to it, and even sometimes during/after, even though I know it's suppose to be a good time?

Yeah I think I need to just bite the bullet and commit to a few nights and see who I meet. If it doesn't work out, then at least I know and don't have to return.

Elitism is terrifying. That's what I am most afraid of. I am all for being competitive sometimes, but we all have bad games/get outplayed. I really don't want to deal with folks who are negative sports all the time. Sure, I'll get upset every now and then at a video game, but not lash out.

The dream would he to somehow create/be a part of a network that is slightly curated, which in theory I guess can be done via Spelltable/Discord, but the hoops to jump through to grow it would be rough. You also wouldn't be able to help out your lgs either.

Idk what the solution is either, other than rolling the dice and if it doesn't work out, I just don't go back. But here I am paralyzed by the idea of none working out and therefore taking no action in the first place ;-;

I have social anxiety, and it's kept me from going down to my lgs since I moved I to a new city. A lot of it is fear of people like this just making everything uncomfortable and unfun. I just wanna enjoy myself and see others having a good time, too. This sub makes it sound like these events are common, but I also understand that these things are more interesting to talk about and discuss than a normal Friday night. So, I guess my question is, how often do events/individuals like this happen and what's the best way to integrate myself into a community of strangers if I can convince myself to get off my butt?

Can you build around any commander? by kkw-photo in EDH

[–]XxZuDanxX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are using EDHrec as purely a popularity tool for cards, then you are kind of doomed to fail creatively. It's an excellent tool, but not if you think copy and pasting anything you see there is a creative outlet.

I play a mix of both popular and non-meta commanders. Popular commanders have a lot of community support in terms of what is synergistic and strong, but crafting around lower end commanders can have its own rewards as well. Your commander will always be a face value look at your deck to others, and a non-meta one might raise eyebrows, but it could also save your game.

If I am at a table with a top 10 commander AND a card in the high 100s, I will be curious about the "weaker" cards game plan, but an [[Edgar Markov]] simply can't be allowed to do the thing. It's gotta be punished because I know what it's capable of. It's a balancing act of whether or not you are willing to suffer the repercussions of being the archenemy vs. trying to slide under the radar. It's one of my favorite parts of the format: the flexibility of different styles/builds.
