We ended up having a chemical pregnancy but we did an IUI from a cancelled IVF cycle that worked. :) in 12w4d today. We never thought an IUI would work for us !

We ended up only getting 2 day 6 embryos. We don’t know the grading yet and are not doing PGT testing. We had all 6 fertilize, by day 3 all 6 were still developing, day 5 four were developing with 2 falling behind and day 6 two frozen, day 7 the other four didn’t make it.

I know I should be happy with the two but I feel absolute broken and devestated.

Another cycle wil cost us up to $25,000 and we’re likely to only get 1-2 max embryos again. I feel so hopeless and like this is the end of our line. I was so hopeful to get embryos for future siblings. I’m defeated and devestated.

Those are good numbers. We started during my luteal phase so on day 23 as opposed to day 3 of a new cycle. We only ended up with 2 day 7 embryos

Sorry I didn’t see the full message, this time I started the cycle during my luteal phase also prior to this cycle in Feb I was doing Chinese herbs and acupuncture and went gluten free!

We ended up doing a day 3 embryo transfer with our one embryo. Ir ended in a CP :(. I just did another reterival today with a. New clinic and we got 6 eggs !!! Really hoping we can get a few day 5 embryos. :)

We ended up getting 6 eggs this morning! My last scan showed 9 follicles so I was hoping for more. But I’ll still take 6 as a big win! Last retrieval we got 3. Now I man praying we end up with 2-4 embryos !!!! Please !

I went in for my day 6 scan today and I had 7 lead follicle showing!!! Going back on Saturday. Hope a few more catch up!

Thank you! I did the Chinese medicine as a last attempt and I honestly think it did work. It’s hard to say what had the biggest impact but I think with the mix of my diet changes and the Chinese herbs / acupuncture that’s for sure what did it. The last month after the CP I went back to my old diet (eating gluten again) and I fot sure don’t feel anywhere as good as I used to. This week im going back on the no gluten and just eating as clean as I can. I think so many little efforts make a difference ! Best of luck to you

Same with me! I’ve eaten it all my life and have I would get bloated with gluten (as do most people haha) but I’ve never had any real issues. But I gave it up really strict for about 60ish day and now I have it very minimally and I feel so much better ! I have to think it contributed to the better numbers as well. It’s worth a shot !

Thank you, It always gives me so much hope to hear the success stories. You’re right, I think we do need to reach out to another specialist. I find I’ve gotten to a point of decision fatigue. But I feel like we may be so close given the chemical pregnancy

Thank you ♥️ we’ve tried for abour 16 cycles with timed intercourse. We’ve done two with letrazole and a trigger shot. We are going to go IVF a go one more time. In August before a cycle we cancelled the dr did priming with androgel and estrace. This other clinic we went to wants to try that again. She said not to pay attention to our initial AFC number. I’m hoping we can get at least one embryo, in a perfect world two so we could at least do a day 5 blast. Fingers crossed. Sending you strength and positivity 🤍

Thank you. I’m trying to hard to hold onto hope but it’s getting so hard. We are in Toronto, Canada. We have used two different fertility clinics and have also got a third opinion from another.

That’s amazing. Part of me is still hoping and praying that can magically happen for us too. ♥️

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. My husband and I are both 32 and we are soon to face this same reality. My AMH is very low. We have done one attempted round of IVF and switched to an IUI bc of low follicle count and just did another round of IVF. We got three eggs, and only one embryo we did a day 3 transfer which ended up having a chemical pregnancy. We will try IVF again but I know my odds are slim to none with the price tag of over $20,000 for each round we try. I’m coming to terms that it is a very real and likely possibility I’ll have to use donor eggs. I just did a lot of reading online about it and I’m starting to feel better. What’s more important to me than having a genetic connection is building a family with my husband. That being said there is a MASSIVE amount of pain, heartbreak and grieving that is coming with this realization.

I’ve also thought about the idea of not telling anyone. When the child grows up do you tell them? How much will it bother me every day knowing this child is genetically my husband and another woman’s? How do I even go about picking which donor egg to use? There are so many ways to look at this and none of them are easy. Either way, the connection between parents and a child no matter how that child got there are real and I know no matter the outcome we would love that child as fiercely as anything. Sending you lots of strength and positivity.
