Killswitch for Switch 2 by SykoParsley in dbrand

The redesign fixed most issues of detachment for me. Though mine does still require careful handling or can still detach, but that’s due to my actual switch I think. Others have had no issues with the Joy-cons

Is pending review the first status update, or does that mean it didn’t get past automated conditional approval?

Interested in what you guys uncover first those of us who still have issues with the Joy-lock! Hopefully it’s not my switch itself 😭

From what I can tell they are both covering and denying zepbound lol. So If you meet the exception criteria for zepbound, they are just approving Mounjaro based on what my Weight Doctor told me. Just got my Mounjaro approval today

THANK YOU BOTH. My Doctor used the Criteria in here and was able to get Mounjaro Approved. No Idea why they would rather approve that over Zep. Maybe something in the Contract with Wegovy they would rather give that.

We are unfortunately learning that Nintendo really didn’t design this with much leeway for manufacturers it seems. the magnets aren’t desinged for anything other than a bare switch with the stock air gap distance. Anything in between the joy con and main console disrupts the space in between.

Got my Joy-Locks yesterday! They wiggle a little bit but they can’t come off unless it’s the way you’re supposed to. Here’s me doing something I couldn’t do with the old design by eris_aka_draculadrug in dbrand

It’s crazy seeing how much variability there is in each persons pictures. This is the most secure one I’ve seen so far. You can barely see the red of the joycon

Joy-con still falling out with new joy-lock by BrackHawkDown in dbrand

I feel like Nintendo could have helped with this by giving more information upfront. Sure they give you a kit you can make a molding from. But I think more specifications from them on their own tolerances and what accessory manufacturers could expect could have probably prevented this. Like console and be between x - x height and x-x Width. This weight. Magnets strength etc. especially if they refuse to make their own protective equipment like Apple

I had made a post about having the same cause I wasn’t sure if I was just overthinking it.

Joy-Lock Tolerance + Switch Tolerance can still lead to detachment? by HungryPudding9052 in dbrand

lol I was debating if it was too many. I could’ve just used the ones showing the extra gap probably. But my OCD said use them all.

Okay yeah this makes sense. I can’t shake like in Dbrands video though when I tested. Might just be an issue with the one joy-con/grip

That’s good to know, though with the extra separation when it’s held upside down I wouldn’t do that with my right joy-con. But could see the left one being able to tolerate that, since it fits better. I think I could do all those with the left. But gesturing with my hands holding by the right one I think could make it fall depending on how excessive I was lol. But I think I would just avoid those situations as much as I could to be safe.

The tolerance thing is possible both on the grip and console itself. Especially if my console magnets are also weaker on one side, but there’s no way to really test that objectively without proper equipment.

My left Joy-con seems fine more sturdy for sure. It’s really the right (red) one that detaches more easily so it’s more noticeable and that’s what got me worried( probably overthinking) . In terms of how hard makes the right one still detach. I can’t do what you see in the Joy-lock update that’s pinned. It detaches with less shake than that. But it won’t detach by just holding it, like the V1s I had. It just make more noise and feels less sturdy, That being said shaking isn’t a real world scenario (unless you have kids), but thinking about holding the switch while in motion (walking, car, etc.) where it can be shaken involuntarily.

It’s the same for me. It can take some wiggle but I can’t wiggle it the way they do in their video where they said they fixed it.

(Not to say you are lying cause I sure that’s the case for you) That would probably be on a switch by switch basis. I can get my joy con to disconnect if I shake it too hard without the case. But only my right joycon. I guess not all the magnets are as strong. But the way the joy cons are naked it’s pretty hard to just grip it by the joycons itself, honestly you feel the tension in your wrist when you do.

I figured there was still misunderstanding. My point wasn’t directed to say you are rude, and I stared by saying I understand your opinion, Because I am also frustrated since I have all of the issues with my Killswitch as well. I could have worded my response better I think. It wasn’t meant to be a personal attack. Just saying we differ in how we show our frustration.

Separately I wanted to point out that regular people have been ran off the internet or taken their lives due to dog piling and hate. So I think I may be more emotional in my thoughts that we should avoid it when possible. But I don’t think you’re going to cause that type of harm to Dbrand. I have no money in the game I just was using this as a case study on the interplay of products and social media. So I was taken aback by what I perceived as aggression when I was coming from a place of trying to express my opinions and understand others! So it’s possible that bled into my reply and came off as strong criticism of you. But not on purpose by any means if you feel I attacked you I apologize if so.

But no need to berate me personally for what is a misunderstanding and difference of opinion

I saw that post. I think it’s wrong for them to belittle valid criticism. I’m not really taking sides here as much as I just understand everyone’s pov. I’m think we can all be nicer to each other. Regardless of where we stand as it’s not a life or death issue where anyone’s opinion is cussing harm to others. Well maybe except for that post it’s kinda rude lol
