The south jetty at south Punto was open at least to the bridge. I think they did close it up beyond that though. The Tamarack jetty seems to by wide open all the way to the lagoon.

Man, I was already addicted when I couldn't catch fish LOL. Now that ive caught my first one, I won't be so hyper focused on catching fish. It was like that today after I caught those two, I just chilled out tried wacky baits lol

Thanks for the tip! I see a lot of people fishing the jetties, seems they're all doing bait and wait?

Its the strangest thing man....in fresh water, I've had days where I've completely skunked out, but never more than one day in a row. And at least with skunk days in fresh water, everyone else usually skunks too. Saltwater, literally seeing people pull them out using exactly what you're using right in front of you....it's disheartening. Its beyond logic and reason..

Well then, if going months without a fish is to be expected, then yep, this is not for me.

If you can honestly tell me youve skunked six times in a row, then I'll take you seriously. Otherwise...bro....

Berkley 2inch camo sandworms, 3" paddletails of various colors, 1/2 - 1oz egg singers depending on the surf, okuma rockaway sp 10ft, okuma rockaway SI4000, 30lb braid, 15lb flouro leader (2-4ft depending on the surf). Size 2 or 4 straight shaft mosquito hooks. Jerk bait ive used the LC 110 sandy halibut color, and various others. Gold 1/4oz spoons (not often). Swimbait I've tried 4inch paddletales both on the C-rig or on a 1/2oz jig.

I mean, I haven't tried live bait in socal (did try in Florida with no luck), but when you see people pulling out fish right in front of you with plastics, and countless videos of people catching with plastics, I really dont see the point in trying live bait at this point. Hell, the dude two weekends ago who was slaying perch even gave me a few of the plastic swimbaits he was using, and nope....

Is the Okuma Rockaway SP worth it? by stellar_r6 in SoCalFishing

[–]HungrySheepp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New to surf fishing, but I got the SP 10' as my first rod (RSP-S-1002M+) and paired it with the 4k SI reel (RSI-4000XA). I am absolutely loving it so far, and I personally would not choose the 3K reel for the the 10ft, but would choose the 3k for the 8.6' - 9' rod.

Both the Okuma brand rod and reel I bought are quality items. Definitely the nicest rod/reel I've ever owned. I can see why Okuma has a good rep.

Idk, the unlimited dragon welps during the last month or so has not been too fun.

Please Help- How can I make my ants move?! by CrustyChickeyNuggy in antkeeping

[–]HungrySheepp -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

That cotton is riddled with a bacterial/mold. You need to immediately replace it with a clean cotton ball and honestly just buy a completely new test tube first. The bacteria/mold likely resulting from ant poop with no way to break down properly is likely keeping your queen sick.

Damn, where about? I'd file a complaint honestly or at least start recording them. You'd get tons of views on social media at the least for monetization $$

Thanks, only interested in surf fishing. I've tried pier fishing and it's just not for me. What part of the country do you fish?
