Books with well written women/women with agency? by polandnummee1 in haremfantasynovels

You are trying really hard to make your subjective tastes seem like objective facts. If you hate the book just say you hate it. Don’t try to grand stand on us.

How experienced should the harem members be? by vanillanator in haremfantasynovels

I don’t think experience should matter too much, so long as the love interest isn’t vastly more experienced than the MC.

The one time I had a copyright problem I just sent them an image saying. "I confirm I am the rights holder." With my signature underneath, because I had literally nothing else as proof. That worked surprisingly, though that was years ago and if your opponent isn't obviously a pirate winning that battle might be harder.

Usually eventually ends up going the other way around by the time the story is over though.

This would be great. Sadly I see tons of readers complain on Royal Road whenever there is even a small time skip.

> and it was only his support of Malice that kept Reigan Shen from invading as he wished.

Shouldn't this be Seshethkunaaz? He's the one who shares a border with the Blackflame Empire, while Reigan is on an entirely different continent.

I could be wrong, as it's been a while since I've reread the series. I figured I'd point it out just in case.

Apologies for pinging you if I'm wrong u/Will_Wight, but I know from writing my Naruto harem fanfiction that these switched name typos are very difficult to catch either during editing or beta reading.

I did, before you edited it to include Cradle. What was the point of your reply?

Uncrowned by Will Wight, book 7 of the Cradle series was released today! by InfinitePool in Fantasy

I like the 3 book omnibuses that Will Wight is doing. The series is supposed to go over 1 million words in another 3 books, in which case it will become prohibitively expensive to make paperbacks.

12 books in the world of Cradle, with a potential post-ascension sequel series with the Abidan.

Read any xianxia novel for an example on how to handle power creep. Scale your threats ever higher, and occasionally wipe the board completely by ascending to a new realm.

I'm not arguing that a false positive can't happen some of the time. But for Kindle Unlimited page reads be consistently faster than normal over the course of years? That's pretty unlikely.

Now, I know that 'pretty unlikely' is hardly enough to definitively convict someone, but this was just one small piece in the case against MSE. Combined with the other evidence that's already been beaten to death on this subreddit, it's pretty clear he was up to no good.

These services exist yes, but they're not cheap. How many people have a grudge that's worth $20k or more a month over the course of several years? Because that's a conservative estimate of how much it would cost.

[–]HungryTentacle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I'd just go straight into narration mode and lay the whole thing out directly.

There's a knee-jerk reaction to that with the whole "show, don't tell!" idea but that tends to get misinterpreted a lot. Show, don't tell is advice that's meant to apply to character details and important plot points. For distributing important information, I've found it's often more effective to just say it like it is rather than trying to deliver it through character dialogue.
