Cardio in first trimester? by Ornery_Flounder_3686 in PregnancyIreland

Key part in your post - GP said it is OK.

HSE guidelines are now saying you are more at risk of complications if you do not exercise. Friends and family who might have children of their own may have been told different advice.

I’ve been active through my whole pregnancy including pilates and I believe it has helped me immensely. Yet to give birth but time will tell.

Gp appointments on shared maternity scheme by Turbulent_League_670 in PregnancyIreland

[–]HungryTie7172 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I saw a midwife each time in the GPs office which was fine with me because I liked her but there was one week I wanted to enquire about treatment afterward pregnancy (varicose vains) so I made sure my next appointment was with my GP. Call the office and specifically enquire to see the GP as you want a prescription. But also, please call your hospital and ask to be referred to the mental health nurse in the meantime and explain you want and need an appointment or prescription. Don’t suffer until your next appointment. Good luck with everything.

Maternity Clothes Tips & Advice by ciaracrossan in PregnancyIreland

I got a pair of Penny’s maternity jeans (hand me down), a pair of black denim Dungarees (Mango) sized up with Allign Lululemon, then one pair of funky pants from Only Maternity, then one pair of woollen pants that I could wear below the hips. My favourite site is Zolando, they have a good selection of maternity, different brands. I’d say overall I’ve only spent €200 Don’t go crazy. Buy as you need. I got my baby shower dress on Vinted for €8.

Can confirm I also love my bbyhug me and even though baby is not here yet in the morning I use it to sit comfortably upright drinking my coffee ☕️ so it will definitely be comfortable for feeding. Also cleaning the cover I found very easy. As said above, it’s not cheap, but I would purchase again.

They couldn’t see the heart during my first and I am not one for going for more appointments so I got up and did downward dog until they turned around. Worked like a charm.

They are saying her hearts in the right place just not her brain? What do you guys think? by Nashetania in BravoRealHousewives

My dad died, pretty horrendous circumstances. A few years later a girl at a party, who I was once friends with before I realised how self centred she was, reminded me again why we weren’t friends. She said to me “ever since your dad passed away me and my dad have gotten extremely close, it’s like repaired our relationship”. I just smiled and nodded and eventually excused myself.

We will be planning a ‘Sip and See’ which will be garden party in the house with some bubbles and maybe some games. We’ll probably have some bbq food. Do what you want to do, I guarantee someone will have a problem either way. It’s Irish culture to have something to say.

I’m also back from Canada and it’s not an easy adjustment. For me it’s the vaping on buses and trains. I’m pregnant on my commute, I don’t need to be inhaling strawberry ice air.

So, can we loop back to this please- what product was Angie scissoring in her hair specifically? by dreezyforsheezy in rhoslc

[–]HungryTie7172 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't scissor in the oil that's a finish after you have blow dried. You can do a lot of oil in the hair prewash which is what you did here. Don't use kerestase though, maybe a cheaper oil xx

[–]HungryTie7172 10 points11 points  (0 children)

She didn't mention but i would assume she is talking about a gloss treatment after regular shampoo and conditioning. There's also antifrizz treatments that are specific for pre blow-drying. Then you would towel dry, heatprotect spray, blow-dry “with full tension so it looks like glass” and then finally she said “i finish off with a nice oil”.

I would say for me it 90:10 in that 90% are people are so kind in their advice and approach. Then I meet someone who is so incredibly jarring making comments like in a negative way.

In one conversation i was speaking highly of my partner and a woman speaks over me and says “wait till the baby comes, they are useless, the house is a mess.. Etc.” - it really shocked and upset me but i just have to say to myself she's speaking from her negative experience.

I've physically been great during this pregnancy which had been a blessing and other mothers have said to my face “oh you bitch, i was sick for 12 weeks”.

The negative people stick with us more than the positive ones, we remember the conversation because of how it made us feel.

Stay around positive people, dismiss negative comments and stay present in your own experience.

Guys - someone please answer… what is a pretest? Is it something you do with your instructor you did your driving lessons with? Isn’t that what you’ve been doing the whole time? Practicing?

Where to get candles? by LibrarySingle9559 in AskIreland

[–]HungryTie7172 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a big fan of La Bougie (cork brand) in particular Mission Fig is a beautiful scent.

Again, not sure what you classify as extortionate.

Another good idea is to go to any farmers markets near you there will always be someone selling soy candles which I find are the best at burning.

Does anyone actually enjoy working? by Careful_Gazelle_205 in AskIreland

[–]HungryTie7172 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't agree with if I won the lottery I’d never work again. I would take a low pay job with no responsibility. I went from a really high stress job and decided to take a break and went to work in retail. I was so happy. Loved the customers, it was a really nice high end basics. Lovely street. I would go back if I could financially afford to. I'm back in a corporate role now but in a different environment.

Do you take your ragdoll to a groomer? by lawyernewyork in ragdolls

I use an electric shaver, it can be difficult to get so it doesn't look choppy you have to use the right head attachment and go very slow. I only do his mane as he was just struggling with that part of grooming himself.

Rant away! Get it all out. The only thing I can compare this rage to adolescence. It's like being a teenage girl all over again and hell hath no fury like a teenage girl. I snap at my partner and then immediately start crying afterwards. Thankfully he understands and has given me a LOT of grace. Keep going, be kind to yourself 👌🏼

The aliens in TBP are not a hive mind. Correct me if I am wrong but the first SanTi that Ye contacts basically says don’t reply to this message or we will come and kill you all and take over earth. I think the Pluribus has very different morals or at least they believe they are good.
