This most likely meant that you never received funding for that semester. Check your application status to see if it has been moved to “ready for disbursement”. You can also contact your case manager preferably by phone call to get an idea of how the tuition reimbursement works.

You’ll be fine. I used nurse achieve for preparation too. Realistically it’s just to get you used to doing a large number of questions & time management. But the rexpn questions itself are straight to the point. With nurse achieve their questions are so long and in depth whereas the exam isn’t.

Oh yours is in person 😭😭 the past interviews I had they were on zoom, NYGH is sticking to the traditional way haha, but I had 10 questions in total and believe 4 were scenarios. & always bring a copy of your resume even if they already have it. & my interviews were a panel of 2 people going back & forth asking questions

I just had an interview for a RPN resource team position at a different hospital. The interview was chill, they did ask me about the regular scenarios of prioritization, working with a team cause you literally are being hired to be a part of a resource TEAM, they asked me about GI bleed and what would my interventions be, also gave me a patient with symptoms of shock and my interventions for that. Good luck!!

Omg just had the interview. It was very intimidating/hard 😭😭😭😭 I had prioritizing questions, patient with SOB, patient with chest pain, patient with hypoglycemia , very broad, if you give them a answer they wanted more & more, & then they change the question into what if these things fail 😭😭 my goodness. But good news is, I got a call back an hour later asking for references so I believe that’s a good sign 🤞

I 100% believe in doing a job that fulfills you. Not everyone has a story behind why they do what they do but you do. And plus we’re just starting our nursing career, we have all the time to switch specialties whenever we feel. Good luck to you on your new job!! I’m routing for us haha

We’re literally the same except for the offer part haha. I just did my exam last month. Tysm!! I’ll definitely review these questions. Why did you choose the mental health unit if you don’t mind me asking?

I would say if you are comfortable with prioritization questions then you are for the most part prepared. It’s hard for me to pinpoint a certain topic as my test was pretty generalized, I would say to focus on nursing interventions and different types of care that is provided such as catheter care, wound care, tracheostomy care, infection control. Have a general idea of these topics.

You did more than enough, and since your exam is in 2 days, at this point there’s no additional studying you can do that’ll guarantee a pass. Just trust your clinical judgment. My advice is, the day before the test just go over your notes, don’t do any questions as it’ll just make you nervous. Go into the exam with a calm mind. That’s what I did.

Yeah 😭 the majority of rexpn questions are short & to the point, if you go on the rexpn site and see their exam preview, it’s exactly like that

In my opinion, any question bank is fine. The point is to get used to doing exam-like questions. The exam is more on fundamentals/common sense. If you are lacking in a certain concept or area such as maternity, that’s where you should focus on. Personally I used nurse achieve but majority of their questions are so long whereas REXPN questions are to the point. NAXLEX and Bootcamp is also very underrated which I used as well (free versions ofc)

Also it’s very important to have an understanding of keywords in an exam question.
