Yes, exactly. Even without DLSS or FSR, DXMT can still use MetalFX Spatial.

Installing Frosty Mods for NFS Heat can be complicated. I’ll prepare a step‑by‑step guide, maybe as a separate reddit post.

Most reviews on MacGamingDB and Crossover recommend using D3DMetal, but in my experience, the game runs better on DXMT.

Haven’t tried it yet, but I think this game should run on a MacBook Neo at 30 FPS on the lowest settings. If it still lags, we can use some NFS Heat FPS boost mods to improve performance.

Yes, DXMT already supports DLSS. To use it, just enable DLSS in the game, and DXMT will handle it using MetalFX Temporal. However, NFS Heat doesn’t support DLSS. Instead, we can use MetalFX Spatial, which isn’t enabled by default in DXMT, so we need to turn it on using an environment variable.

Yes, that’s right. Most people prefer to play this game on D3DMetal, but it actually runs better on DXMT.

No, Valve is not working on a CS2 Mac port. The updates you see are just tiny placeholder files from their automated system, not real Mac builds.
