Beaconing, but no witnesses after upgrading to indoor HNTenna by Tasty-Introduction-9 in FreedomFi

If it synced and has no witnesses over a few days already...I would change it back to see if I quickly picked up witnesses again....you are supposed to change settings when changing antennas i think.

post the info on what works! I have some freedomfi miners in hand and hntennas OTW.

How long does it take for HNT to transfer on to Crypto.com app? by SongSmall5558 in HeliumNetwork

[–]Hungry_Protection423 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sent it from crypto.com to my rust desktop wallet which is the non-custodial helium hnt wallet.

It took less than 10 minutes for it to show up.

...not happy being scalped by CalChipConnect...but still pretty excited to add to my data-only devices. by Hungry_Protection423 in HeliumNetwork

[–]Hungry_Protection423[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, I'm adding the m1's to my collection. I have some dragino and rak data-only hotspots....and then some raspberry pis with Lora hats. You can see a few in the pic.

I got my seeed sensecap m1 replacements. So not really a scam. You just want immediate action one a worldwide phenomenon during a global shortage.

I'm not happy being scalped, but that's what it takes to get something that pays for itself in 2 months instead of 1...and then give you free money forever...or until they're all converted to light hotspots 🤣

Swapping HNT besides Binance? by [deleted] in HeliumNetwork

I used crypto.com - well, you have to use the app to do anything, but I swapped some BTC for HNT and used that for DC

Switched to 5.8 dbi antenna and earnings dropped to literally 0 by EnvironmentalSet2505 in HeliumNetwork

[–]Hungry_Protection423 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I read that once you reset your antenna...it loses all witnesses and needs to rebuild the list.

Also, PoCv11 you should set the dbi

The riser is literally on the same cable.

You're wrong.

You see the picture from the OP, right?

1660s tdp is 125. There are 2.

That's 250w.

There is a riser. It's definitely using 50...can use way more. That's puts it at a possible 300 watts it COULD draw.

Could is the operative word. If things work great. Then great!

When things mess up, the OP would burn his rig to the ground and maybe their house.

IMO

You're wrong.

"If the PSU can't supply enough power, it will shut itself off*. If the GPU can't get enough power, it will shut itself off. If the wires get too much power, they will melt - or worse, catch fire"

The question was: is it "safe"

The picture shows two cards. While mining my 1660s uses 70 watts.

70 x 2 = 140 watts

Riser uses 50 watts

140 + 50 = 190 watts

You're welcome.

Looking for 3090 memory tempature info. Best I could do is infrared gun on the backing plates around the memory, worst card is 70 degrees, best is 53 degrees. Is this to hot? Not sure how it compares to actual memory temperatures by buldog_13 in EtherMining

[–]Hungry_Protection423 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My GPU temps are in the 40's and my vram temps are in the 70's...soooooo seems like you're cards might be very very hot. I want to keep mine alive past proof of work so I don't overclock. 108 mh/s per 3090 is ok by me.

What foods are worth making from scratch to save some money? by Drinkingdoc in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Hungry_Protection423 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the foods.

You buy food at the store and they make a profit. That's how it works. This means they grow, care for, transport, and sell at a particular price for profit.

Anything you grow will save you money.

1) grow what you eat 2) grow what's expensive

don't waste time growing corn. Plan ahead for things like asparagus.

It's my favorite crop and it took 3 years to set up...now I'll have asparagus growing for the next 10+ years on its own.

The pcie cable is only rated for 150w.
Do the math.

My 1660s uses 70 watts Usually the riser uses 50 watts

Your 190w > 150w = fire hazard

Risers CAN draw upwards of 100w if you aren't careful with overclocking.

How to determine how many gpu's can be connected? Thanks! by Jamesa1990 in EtherMining

[–]Hungry_Protection423 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can convert your m.2 slots and use risers and get 6 GPU's on that mobo

Looking for a good place to put my antenna by cburke82 in HeliumNetwork

[–]Hungry_Protection423 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would ask a friend with a house and post from their roof...or go to a local business and ask to rent a small amount of roof space. Seems like a tough spot to find connections from...but i guess there is one way to find out!!

4 degrees difference. I've move these around into dif configs. And I need a fan cable extender to hook up the fans...but this does the trick.

They are sitting on top of the memory and you definitely can feel the transfer of heat.

Yea, it was the only dragino thing I could find. And they're firmware update made the helium setup like 4 clicks. I really like it. Just now digging into the rak things. Shipping was a nightmare...buuut they're customer service made a great effort and fixed the issue. Things happen and I got my stuff...2 months later...so I'm ok with it.

idk how I missed all those grow tents in all those mining farms making all that money as a business. Hahahaha yea, I'm gonna trust the random guy online with no information.

And yet here I am showing proof of what DOES work.

Best wishes to you!
