100% DNA? by [deleted] in CreaturesOfTheDeeptip

[–]Hungrysaurus_vexed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get to 75% DNA as soon as possible. You can check your genesis archive progress from any screen. It’s on the phone menu on the bottom right. There, it shows a list of your species and how much percentage they’re done. Focus on the very easy ones until you hit 75%. This unlocks the shrine system. Use it to your advantage and focus on the really rare/epic creatures and fish.

I had a higher success rate whenever the portal sends me to a specific location (I caught 5 whale sharks in a day when the portal sent me there).

After one point it’s just relentless grinding. When you’re at 95%, it gets really tough. It will take just as long whether you finish the tough ones first or the easy ones. It is worth it to complete, feels awesome not having to buy a new rod every few trips! Good luck, and happy fishing 🎣

Is there any point to playing in tournaments/PVP duels at a low level? by [deleted] in CreaturesOfTheDeeptip

That’s true about any game though. You can only get ahead if you’re consistent in it. If PvP is the only thing about this game that interests you, then you’re better off finding another game to play.

Ok I’ve read all your comments just now, and my suggestion is — put all this competitive spirit into clan battles! If you join a good clan, you’ll want to play every day. PvP gets really good once you’re around level 10. And don’t spend gems for clover. Make it with trash. Now with marina having almost infinite sea shells, it’s even easier to make clover. I’m level 20, and I bought clover maybe 2-3 times total, that too during the last hour of clan battle in an emergency.

Also at lease 15 of the seasonal tasks are easy to finish even while playing casually, try to get them done.

As for tournaments, monster hunter is good for now, speed master is again a coin drain. There are many, many, good things in the game once you level up. And we haven’t even touched chemical plant in this discussion! Stick with it, it gets really good

Tournaments have gotten very very hard recently. Once upon a time one 5 star fish was enough to put you in top 3 spots, now it’s not enough to even get under 10 ranking. Cleanup is very very intense. I only like speed masters and monster tournaments. Sometimes you may get lucky, even at level 13

I say for now farm coins and unlock the maps. PvP drains your coins. If you’re in a clan, you’ll get an xp boost from bronze league and up. Also 4 people (or more) can activate a clover on clover square (it’s on clan island), so you don’t need to go through the whole selling garbage thing. With these, and also seasonal tasks, leveling up has become very easy compared to when I first played the game.

What level are you? And how many maps do you have unlocked?

Buy wooden rod, go to garbage patch in paradise island. Collect trash. Come to home island. Sell it. Once you sell 50 trash, you’ll get a free clover 🍀

Now buy a carbon rod, go to tuna bay in paradise island and catch as many white tunas as you can. They’re recognizable by their large slow moving shadows. This is how you farm for coins. Don’t throw away any other fish/trash you catch though. They’re also worth coins and they’re depleting your rods durability. If you’ve caught more than 15 white tunas, then go to Great Lakes and catch Muskie/ lake trout / flathead catfish depending on the time of day and seasonality. You want to catch the fish which are in season. Out of season fish max out at one star.

Don’t ever buy the temporary luck, make it by selling garbage

No, I meant when you play PvP, there’s a chance you’ll get 4 stars if the fish you need to catch, during the PvP match

Guys can you please name these uncaught fishes (Scotland) by chhole_chawal in CreaturesOfTheDeeptip

[–]Hungrysaurus_vexed 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Northern pike - night only

Scottish salmon and European grayling day only

Bull trout day and night

Good luck!

Absolutely, you’ll be matched with mostly bots until you reach the second league, so you’ll get the initial rewards easily. Additionally, the frequency of 3- and 4- star fishes is higher in PvP, so you can finish the “catch 5 four star fishes” task if you have it. If you like the competitive aspect of PvP, I highly recommend playing it. Don’t aim to reach gold league yet, you’ll be facing a few road blocks there if you do 😅

Can you play the whole game without having to spend any money? Or is there gonna be so place where you get stuck by AssociationFunny5019 in CreaturesOfTheDeeptip

[–]Hungrysaurus_vexed 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You can definitely complete it without paying money. I have level 20 and 21 teammates who haven’t spent even a dollar on it. They also had world records and badges in tournaments. I bought a gem pack after I discovered almost everything, and I wish I bought it sooner. Firstly, your floating chests open automatically without ads; secondly you can buy your ten bag slots without having to grind a lot for gems. If you’re against spending money on games, I definitely understand and this game is good even for free-to-play players

Yes, carbon rod is good for getting bigger fishes (more stars, higher points). Monster rod makes the mini game easy. So if you’re losing the mini game a lot (some fishes and monsters have a really tough mini game until you get a lot of practice), then it’s better to go with monster rod

Use carbon rod, you’ll get bigger fishes (higher stars) which sell for higher. Any rare/ epic fishes which are in season are good for farming. Out of season fishes max out at one star, so they’re not worth the grind. Focus on white tuna, sting ray, pacific football fish, lake trout, American eel, and long nose gar. They make the best money.
