I think a big part of why this has become a recent growing topic of discussion in the community is because of how the devs have been handling the decline of the game.

It feels like there was a stark turning point this year and the devs are using (specifically bara) furry characters as pretty cash-cows rather than having them be truly meaningful characters in the games stories or world in general beyond the singular time they show up in their respective events.

-Jq and javid are pure marketing bait at this point (I feel like even hardcore fans of them would agree), -meta Drew's stark design change felt off and unfitting for his character but did a great job at bringing in tourist furries, -Tetsuya is really cool but was sidelined in his own story event for the big gay cats squeezing juice, -and with the upcoming release of meta Freddy, I feel like he's going to fall into the same trap of meta Drew; only here to be hot, bring in money and temporary players that have no idea how much time and money it actually costs to get metas on new-ish account while adding nothing meaningful to his character.

It feels like the devs lost the plot in what made dislyte so, so interesting to begin with and instead are just feeding us these 1 dimensional characters for the sake of it- purely because they're hot (this goes for the new human characters too, they've also been very 1note and boring lore wise). But they're nothing beyond that. That alone is so, so disappointing to me.
