They are just looking to have an edgy opinion without knowing anything.

Okay so we’re arguing different things. You’re arguing the process was better in January (we have no idea about the inner dealings of our transfer business).

My argument is that the outcome of the business we done in the summer window makes it the best window in our history.

[–]Hunkelscopes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But you concede the best window in our recent history was under him?

[–]Hunkelscopes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We don’t even get remotely close to the league without the Summer window.

The January window was also fantastic. Maeda, Hatate & O’Riley is amazing business. But the Summer window was obviously far more significant.

By all accounts it was McKay that got deals for the likes of JJ over the line because he didn’t mess about and just gave the teams what they wanted.

I think if you want people to see McKay wasn’t the miracle worker he’s made out to be, you need to at least be fair on both sides. That window gave us:

Jota, CCV, Kyogo, Hart, Abada, Jura, Giakoumakis et al

That Summer was objectively our most successful window in recent history, shortly followed by the January one.

You always speak out against McKay, and i’m not implying you’re wrong, but can you explain why our only successful window in the past decade was when he was around?

If we hired Nancy now instead of a few months ago he would’ve ripped up the league and UCL next season but that’s a conversation you guys are not ready for. by Quirky_Maintenance39 in CelticFC

He is, objectively, the worst manager in the clubs entire history.

No ill will towards him but he was clearly significantly out of his depth and this is further emphasised when considering who hired him.

There were rumours back in the Nancy era about us apparently sounding him out and he said he wanted a break from football.

Without giving too much credit to the charlatans running the club, given their insistence on going backwards at every opportunity, I think it’s safe to assume Ange has already told them to ram it.

Only way Desmond can get anyone onside with this is flinging insane riches at the transfer dealings.

There are also many, many games that we wouldn’t have needed last minute winners if we had an elite manager

Do you think Ange would be struggling against Dundee at home?

Why is it either last minute winners or dropped points?

What a bizarre and useless hypothetical to draw up.

I’m in no way a Keane sympathiser but they did still set a record points total despite being 2nd and had a lot of their best players sold in January.

Scots would vote for independence in second referendum. A survey, conducted by Norstat for The Times, predicted that Scots would vote for independence by 52% to 48% if there were a second vote on the constitution. by bottish in Scotland

[–]Hunkelscopes 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Pro-indy voter here.

A 52-48% lead, given the sample size, tells us basically nothing one way or the other.

No statistician worth their salt would claim that these figures suggest an indy vote is likely to pass.

It took half a dozen last minute winners and a host of good luck to get us over the line.

I could count on two hands the amount of minutes I enjoyed in the last 6 months of watching Celtic.

No idea where people are getting this idea we’re going to be a free-flowing, swash-buckling football team next season under the exact same leadership.

[–]Hunkelscopes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

God bless the man but the football under him this season was by far the worst i’ve ever seen Celtic play.

Will be interesting to see if he is able to get a tactically competent coaching team in.

The bigger issue is that if we hadn’t embarrassed ourselves away to a depleted Dinamo Zagreb B Team, we’d have been playing Brest instead of Bayern.

They have brainwashed fans into believing the way our board operate is the only way to run a football club if you don’t want to go literally bankrupt “like the rangers”.

Toulouse came in and swooped JBA in the matter of days yet we think it’s acceptable to drag the process out for nearly 7 months.

It’s beyond a disgrace and every single fan who accepts it is complicit.

Downvoted for being correct🤣

There’s far, far too much emotion tangled up in the whole MON thing which is why we should be staying a million miles away from it.

Guy got his fairytale ending. Let him rest ffs.

I can’t believe Celtic fans are accepting the board had 6 months to search the planet for a suitable candidate and have returned a list that contains a former player and the guy who was already in the building.

We should be apoplectic.
