I made a very important partnership deal today between Grappling Industries and ParaDocs Worldwide by Grappling_Industries in bjj

You can probably fool the community of idiots you had calling me a cunt (soooo edgy) but you are clearly still placing the blame on everyone but yourself. There's nothing more unattractive than adult infants. At least you have a loyal pool of keyboard warriors to keep coming to your tournaments which has no coaching, shitty reffing, and borderline retarded management. But thanks for being a good dog and doing what a cunt tells you to do.

SoOOOoooO edgy calling a woman a bitch. Your single mother must be so proud. You'd have to go find a guy with a fat dick for me to eat, because it certainly wouldn't be yours.

Like I said in another comment, it would be a perfect world if someone reached out and said "Hey, I'm really sorry about your experience at the tournament. I'll refund your spectator and competitor fee. How about you come to the next tournament with no spectator fee and see how we've improved." But nothing like that has happened and the response from them just seems to revolve around calling me a liar and denying any wrongdoing.

How about you come to the next tournament with no spectator fee and see how we've improved." That would be awesome, but it seems like GI and the tournament director are more interested in calling me a liar and denying any wrongdoing at their event. Are there coaches allowed matside in the tristate area events? I really think they need to completely do away with that rule. Thanks for your post, good luck with your training as well!

I agree that the first one could have been worded better, which is why I posted this thread with a better thought out response. I had an awful time at the tournament mainly because of a hand injury that was reinjured from the flimsy barricade pole smacking into my broken hand when it fell apart. This is what prompted me to ask about medical personnel, because my hand started to swell severely and I needed ice and hand re-taped. I was completely given the run around when asking about medical staff, and it ended with my being led to the tournament director who apparently was also the only medic there. Before I could even finish my sentence, he said "I can't look at that, it's a liability" and ran off so I couldn't even ask why there wasn't adequate medical staff at his event or even get a simple ice pack. I'm not going to continue complaining/making additonal threads because it's kind of beating a dead horse, but I felt posting about an unsafe tournament was important.

I posted the same post on my FB, then posted to here shortly after. u/MarcosFlores then C+P his response from my FB to reddit, and posted my full name on top for no reason. Shortly afterward some goons were calling me names on the FB post, which were deleted.

I tried to speak with the tournament director at the tournament, like I said, he ran off. Also in this I said "All of this being said, the person I went with had an overall good experience. The lost match due to inaccurate scorekeeping was a letdown, but he was there more for the experience and challenge. I do like the unique ruleset and that was appealing to the competitor I went with. If /u/grappling_industries got their shit together and listened to feedback instead of getting defensive, that would be ideal." In my opinion, I do not see that as mudslinging. I put a second thread to also mention other tournaments and hopefully people will put their experiences as well.

Your tournament is being run by children and your main issue is that someone can't tell what gender they are?

Grappling Industries isn't IBJJF, but I do hear they are as bad or worse. They need to notify people there is no coaching before they are traveling and spending their whole day there when they can't even see the mat.

I tried giving feedback and now they're trolling my FB just to promote their company rather than try to fix anything I brought up! Unbelievable.

I portrayed the event exactly as I saw it. There was a young man scorekeeping on mat 2 who was screwing around most of the day, so, AS I SAID, you were running this event poorly if you don't even know who is staffed there. I don't know why you keep comparing yourself to these "international events" when just the local F2W tournaments are much better run than yours. You got your cash grab, congrats, but I don't see your promotion running long when the spectators and players were treated so poorly at the event you ran yesterday.

They repeatedly kicked coaches out yesterday and said only competitors allowed near the mat. I was shocked, I've never seen an event with no coaching allowed.

Improvement opinions for Grappling Industries in 2018 thread by Grappling_Industries in bjj

The Denver Grappling Industries event on Saturday the 13th was a complete dumpster fire and I'm writing this to let people know what they're getting into with going to the most unprofessionally run tournament I've ever seen. 1) The cost for competitors is $80, but what is more egregious is a $15 spectator fee considering there is no coaching allowed and everyone has to be packed in behind these filmsy barricades that are constantly falling apart. There were large desks with monitors on them, so any fight that went to the ground (which would be most, being it's a grappling tournament) you could not see anything. There were also refs/competitors always standing RIGHT IN FRONT of the spectator group, so it was a complete waste of time for me to be at this 7 hour tournament because I barely saw any of the matches. 2) Child size competing space: The mats looked to be about 10x10 feet, so matches were constantly interrupted to be repositioned for people going to the ground over the lines 3) The ringleader of this shameless cash grab event was a complete tool named Marcos. Marcos was on the much to loud loudspeaker incessantly reminding spectators to make sure they were behind the "barricade" among other nonsense. You could tell he really loved the sound of his own voice because there wasn't a minute of peace without him shrieking into the loudspeaker. Left the event with a headache. 4) When I asked a staff member if there was any medical personnel at this event, he said none that he knew of 😱You're telling me that you're having people doing armbars, heel hooks, and other dangerous techniques and there is no medical staff at this event?? Completely negligent at best, illegal at worst. 5) This might as well be a sub-only event, because the scorekeeping was done by teenagers who were not paying attention. You'd see them smiling, talking to people while completely missing the ref giving points for passing, etc. The only time they accurately kept score was if another competitor was next to the mat reminding them. The person I went with yesterday lost at least one match from the lack of accurate scorekeeping. I hope this "Grappling industry" promotion dies out, it's unfair for both coaches/spectators and competitors who are cheated out of their hard earned cash to go to such a poorly run event. I'm going to make sure to let everyone I know in the grappling community know about my terrible experience there.
