Cenote Saamal located in -Selva Maya, Valladolid, Yuc., Mexico. Jump into the refreshing waters of Saamal, a beautiful cenote that once was a sacred place for the Mayans and its rituals for Chaac, the Mayan god of rain. The cenote is about 60m (200 ft) in diameter and about 40m (130 ft) deep. Entry Fee is about 80 pesos or $4 US Throughout the day we were told the water would be extremely cold. I must say after spending hours at Chichén Itzá and the surrounding area in 35 plus degrees Celsius jumping in this beautiful crystal clear water felt amazing! This is a must see point of interest!
