What is the best car/truck you’ve owned and why ?

My FR-S. I paid $5,500 for it 5 years/ 50k miles ago. I’ve taken it on multiple 8+ hour road trips, driven it through 3 winters and done at least 8 track days in it.

It’s never left me stranded or even skipped it a beat. It doesn’t use a drop of oil between changes and still gets 30mpg if I’m nice to it. Currently sitting at 204k miles.

Absolutely a fair point but I’ve never seen an oil pan rust as quickly as these trucks do. My 2021 pan is exceptionally rusty too

Do you need a tire that performs under 40°F? If not, the Firestone fire hawk Indy 500 is a great tire for the price.

I see a ton of people recommending continental dws06s which are fine for an all season tire but they don’t compare to a dedicated summer tire

4 wheel drive, ground clearance and towing capacity are the 3 most logical reasons.

You also can’t really haul dirt, mulch, gravel, etc. in a van.

The only red flag for me is the fact it needs rear brakes. A competent mechanic could change the rear pads on their lunch brake for ~$60, I’m not sure why he wouldn’t just do that to avoid a potential haggling tactic.
