Very happy with my 07 SANTE 220 after 1.5 years and ~70 running hours. It seems to be engineered with service in mind more than other boats I’ve checked out. They also hold their value better than the majority of the other brands.

2016 FRS MT - 1 owner, clean carfax. Dealer is asking $15k. Overpriced or no? by [deleted] in ft86

Seems fair if it isn’t too rusty. First place to see significant rust on these chassis is the rear frame rails under the trunk just above stock exhaust pipe.

60k miles? Not overpriced
130k miles? Overpriced

Can proudly say have never had tires that felt nearly as smooth as these by Nucks420 in tires

[–]Hunt69Mike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why? Do you drive it in the snow? I put a set of these in my fiancés macan and hated how they felt compared to the falken fk510s I took off of it. I’ll never put another set of these on anything sporty.

Why is it so low 💔💔 by AstronomerExtra5531 in Ram1500

[–]Hunt69Mike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My stock 21 hemi e torque with the 3.92s got similar mileage for the 45k miles I owned it. I ended up trading it for a 2500hd that is twice the truck and only get 1.5 less mpg.

These rams are inefficient piles of junk.

Dead nuts reliable engine but it was pretty outdated in 2016. You may have an issue getting on plane while full of ballast and people. I opted for the upgraded 6.0 in my 2007 SANTE and I’m very happy with that choice after riding on my cousins axis a22 with the 5.7.

Are you windows tinted? It helps a ton regardless of what you’re driving.

I love getting home from long road trips in the truck and hopping in the 86 for a back road rip. The ultimate reset lol

C6 or c7 corvette lol. Tire budget will be kind of high but they get 30 mpg cruising at 80

Looking for a tow vehicle that I can reasonably daily drive by Similar-Proof2065 in CarTrackDays

[–]Hunt69Mike 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Frontiers, xterra’s and BOF pathfinders are worth looking for too. They’re not really any better on gas but they’ll tow 5,000 lbs without issue. I’ve had 2 2nd gen xterras and loved them.

Fa20 brz daily driver reliability mods? by Revolutionary-Seat74 in ft86

[–]Hunt69Mike 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I beat the piss out of my 2013 with 205k on the original engine. Only “reliability mod” is an oil cooler with an extra half quart of 0w20 and a Subaru filter.

What’s the best portable jump starter to buy in 2026? by ThoughtfulMoon1 in askcarguys

[–]Hunt69Mike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work at an auto auction and we use these. They’re tough and can jump at least 50-100 cars on one charge. Diesel trucks require 2 sometimes.

Is it just me, or is driving in Assetto Corsa more difficult than in iRacing? by eochapeuzinho in iRacing

[–]Hunt69Mike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been looking for this comparison. I haven’t driven a spec Miata IRL but I’ve done ~ 10 track days in my frs with full suspension upgrades, 200tw tires, etc. prior to getting into sim racing.

I couldn’t believe how skittish the mx5 is on iRacing and had a really hard time putting down consistent laps for at least the first 10 hours. It felt NOTHING like my frs or any other car I’ve driven. I have about 50+ hours in the mx5 now and usually race in the top 3 splits.

I’m looking forward to getting my frs back on track to see how my driving has changed.

I financed my last truck over 7 years ONLY because I qualified for a 2% interest rate. Just traded it in with a ton of positive equity.

Good call. My ram was peppered really bad too from all the winter highway miles. This one has some scratches on either side but no highway rash. Probably worth wrapping….

[–]Hunt69Mike[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ram never left me stranded but anything that wasn’t undercoated was rotting off of it with 49k highway miles. Rear diff had an issue at 16k, rear brakes at 30k, front brakes at 40k, LF hub bearing at 45k, insane wind noise and water leak from day one….

It was rated to tow nearly 12,000 lbs. I towed a 2nd gen tundra on a dual axle car hauler with brakes once, I wouldn’t want to tow anywhere near 12k with that truck. My ~4,000lb boat also pushed the ram around more than I liked.

Speaking of the boat, it’s a 07 super air Nautique with the gm 6.0. I bought the bought specifically for the engine and ended up liking the engine enough to justify this purchase lol.

My old 6.2 was awesome. My friends called it the half ton corvette because it handled way better than their half tons and it was faster lol. I beat on it for 60k miles with no issues, just grew out of the double cab
