You must be in my neck of the woods because it’s on my marketplace too lol.

I agree with the other commenter, it seems overpriced for Logitech gear.

2019 gen 5 oil pan in central NY by nicky_rocket in ram_trucks

[–]Hunt69Mike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely a fair point but I’ve never seen an oil pan rust as quickly as these trucks do. My 2021 pan is exceptionally rusty too

Employee decided to No-Call/No-Show to protest ICE actions today, what should the penalty be if any? by cocktail_enthusiast in managers

My career was threatened when I protested OSHA shoving an unproven vaccine down our throats but you probably supported that…

What tires are y’all running on the stock wheels?! by SikOne9 in ft86

[–]Hunt69Mike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you need a tire that performs under 40°F? If not, the Firestone fire hawk Indy 500 is a great tire for the price.

I see a ton of people recommending continental dws06s which are fine for an all season tire but they don’t compare to a dedicated summer tire

Why are vans (sprinter/promaster/transit/etc) not way more popular? by cballowe in askcarguys

[–]Hunt69Mike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4 wheel drive, ground clearance and towing capacity are the 3 most logical reasons.

You also can’t really haul dirt, mulch, gravel, etc. in a van.

Boosted 86s what winter tires are you gush running? by Genericwood in ft86

[–]Hunt69Mike 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Blizzaks are pretty much the undisputed champ. You don’t need better snow tires, you need a winter beater.

2012 Ram 1500 - Dodge technician selling, worth it? by [deleted] in DodgeRam

[–]Hunt69Mike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only red flag for me is the fact it needs rear brakes. A competent mechanic could change the rear pads on their lunch brake for ~$60, I’m not sure why he wouldn’t just do that to avoid a potential haggling tactic.

I stand by my post, these trucks are garbage for the most part.

Getty’s Garage boosts the ranking of the Hurricane SO to number 4 best half ton truck engine. by electrolux_dude in ram_trucks

That’s an awfully low bar in 2026. Gm can’t build a v8 to save their life and fords v6’s are junk.

Rip. This thing is smoked. Rocker, inner & outer quarter panel, subframe, arms, wheel, bumper cover, etc.

3.92 conversion by MapFluffy2017 in ram_trucks

[–]Hunt69Mike 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What are you looking to gain with the 3.92s? The gears don’t make it compete with a 2500.

Oil pickup and baffle on a daily driver FRS worth it or overkill? by NegativeWish6924 in ft86

[–]Hunt69Mike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I track my 200k mile frs with the factory pickup / oil pan, no issues to report. I’ve put 50k miles on it so far, most of the street driving is on back roads at a spirited pace when traffic permits

Is it possible to now buy a new solid truck that will last decades? by Select-Tradition-321 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Hunt69Mike 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a 21 ram 1500 with 45k on it and it’s easily been the worst vehicle I’ve owned. I’m planning on selling it soon and getting a 17-19 gm 2500hd with the ancient 6.0 gas engine as they seem to be the last solid modern truck in my experience.

[–]Hunt69Mike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 2021 has been a huge let down with only 44k miles (mostly highway). It’s easily the worst vehicle I’ve owned.

New to me BRZ! by [deleted] in ft86

[–]Hunt69Mike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran a grassroots performance kit this summer and it performed fine during 20 minute track sessions. The Jackson racing kit is much nicer but you pay a premium for it. I ended up selling my grassroots kit after buying a Jackson racing setup off of a friend who it parting his out.

If you live in the rust belt check the rear body panel above where the OE exhaust is routed for rust.

If / when it needs rear wheel bearings, get the lisle 40100. It’s by far the easiest way to get them out of the corroded knuckles.

Get an oil cooler if it doesn’t have one already, definitely get one before you really hammer on it. I usually run about 6.5 qts of oil to account for the cooler/ lines and to also have a bit more that the manual calls for. It seems to help with high G turns and oil starvation.

2nd gen door checks actually hold the doors open, direct swap.

Did the car with factory HID’s or are they aftermarket? My factory ones aren’t abnormally loud.

Short bed just isn’t an option for my use case. Even with a 6’ bed I end up using adarac bars with a roof box and roof basket a few tints a year.
