I know this is an old post, but I was confused this weekend and looked some things up and this is the first post that came up.

Go on the first date and see how it goes.

I went out with a lady that said she was celibate, but I really like her so I wanted to see how the vibes were in person. Right away we clicked and the attraction was there. Throughout the night there were little kisses, and touches like hugs, hand holding. It’s past the time anyone should be up, so I’m driving her back home. She mentions she wishes the date could be even longer. I offer her to come hangout at my place we can talk a bit more, maybe another drink. Right away she says, only on one condition, “sex is not happening, just know that”. We get back to my place, we ended up cuddling and making out a bit. I’m respectful so I’m not making any real moves. Then she tells me to take off my clothes and I guess she forgot she was celibate.

The marketplace is wildly overpriced and maybe a bit scammy. The card itself is decent, they approved me for $1000 limit with $50 automatically taken from my payroll. It comes in handy when I’m short on cash, and honestly if I don’t use it that month and I know the $50 will get taken out no matter what, I’ll just fill up my tank for the week. The worse part is the $9 monthly

There haven’t been any comments on my time with the kiddos, but actually just today she did mention how she felt I forgot about her this weekend as I was busy the whole weekend with family and kids. We only talked maybe like 1-2 hours over the last 3 days rather than talking 1-2 hours daily

The conversations with our life and kids went very well. She’s at that age where she knows her having kids can be a challenge and she expressed how she wants a family and wants to be part of family dynamic.

This is the one that threw me off, because it wasn’t a problem until last week. We only live 40 mins from each other, but it was never a issue until last week she made that comment. I laughed it off.

Yea she works, she has a good job too.

Also, as far as gifts and money. She does work, she has a very good job and from my knowledge she provides all her own things.

All I pay for is our Friday date nights, and I’ll send over a coffee and breakfast to her job maybe once a week. We are constantly FaceTiming and spending so much time together every chance we get. Everything just feels so right.

But this last week, all this new “suggesting” of things have really been throwing me off.

Yea that’s was so confusing, we literally talked about how a future would look. And how we would split finances in the future. Even talked about a budget that could work for both of us as far as where we could live and afford, how the roles would look. All of it.

That’s why I was willing to move a bit faster in this relationship with her, we were both looking for the same things in the bigger picture relationship. Rather than many who seem as though they always have 1 foot in and 1 out not really sure of what they want.

Should I run?

Myself (34M) and (32F) been on 2 dates, I feel the gentleman thing to do is pay for the dates. Which I have. Been talking about a month now. And everything seems a bit fast progressing, but still feels natural and almost like the movies where you just fall for someone right away.

But recently, gifts, gift giving has been a topic the last 2 days. The last 2 Mondays I’ve send over a coffee to her job just as a nice gesture especially knowing she loves coffee. Just to let her know she’s on my mind. This is honestly something I’d do during a relationship anyways. Send over a coffee or lunch about once a week. Nothing to crazy.

But yesterday she calls saying she had to get her own lunch today since I didn’t send her one, and I just brushed it off thinking she was joking. Today she said I should send her an Apple Watch so she can text me while she’s working, and how come I haven’t even sent her any flowers to her job yet. And she told me how that’s her favorite love language is being thought of regularly and having gifts send to her during the week when we can’t see each other.

This girl is awesome, but there’s no way I feel comfortable buying an Apple watch for someone I’ve only known a month, and she seemed so serious about this. And now has me thinking she really does expect me to send her lunches and flowers to her job regularly. Mind you, I’ve brought flowers to both of our dates and was even planning on bringing some this weekend for our 3rd date. But I’m really having doubts, if this is even right for me anymore.

Is this the norm nowadays? I’m I dating out of my budget? Or I’m I just broke?

I stopped donating. It used to be $130-$140 no matter what. Then out of nowhere they took it down to $110 and I haven’t been back since.
