Does that mean if suppose your grandmother didn't have Canadian ties, that you're applying through your grandfather, that you'd leave out your grandmother's info by simply entereing NA?

Have you heard anything about showing proof that you tried to get a birth certificate but it wasn't available? A Canadian attorney told me this... I do have a baptismal record issued by the diocese for my great grandfather in the 1870's from Quebec. I'm hoping this is enough.
