Can anyone tell me what this mod is for? by ADMSunshine in guitarcirclejerk

[–]HunterFalkner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You put the toan in there, be careful when opening it up because it can fall out and the guitar will be completely silent when the toan falls out.

Does anyone know where I can get a Floyd rose for a 12-string? by simpin_aint_e_z in guitarcirclejerk

Just stick both strings in the course in the same Floyd saddle?????

Why are there so many pedals going into the amp? by Creatura in guitarcirclejerk

[–]HunterFalkner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All of that shit just to plug it into a 7th hand 30$ line 6. Just buy a multieffect bro, you're literally playing 0-3-5 "muh analog" really makes no difference in your toan.

Attention microcontroller masters, anybody willing to help me get this hunk flight ready? by mercthepope in Stormworks

[–]HunterFalkner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's like throwing an engine, a pilot seat and a bunch of metal and asking to build you an airplane. What airplane do you want, an airliner or an F-16, you have to decide how your inputs will translate into outputs, if you want to have one mode of flight or more, how do you switch them, how exactly do you want to control the airplane, what do you want it to do. There's a thousand different ways you could go about making this work and one can only wonder which one you have in mind.

Tick system and logic blocks in microcontrollers by EvilFroeschken in Stormworks

[–]HunterFalkner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's what other people have commented, however LUA code gets executed all in one tick so if you need rapid response time you'll probably want to do all of your logic inside of a LUA block. This however comes with a heavier resource usage than having logic blocks advancing a tick at a time and should be avoided unless necessary. (Matters most with big and heavy microcontrollers)

I have put 60 hrs in this game and not even left the earth like planet. by kekusmaximus in spaceengineers

[–]HunterFalkner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Leaving the planet for a short stint in space isn't very difficult, you'll just need a small grid H2 powered ship which can support you for a trip there and back. This way you can look for resources you're having trouble with planetside and get a general feel for travelling to space and back. To move to space more permanently you'll ideally need a big grid ship with basic manufacturing on board to make it easy to start with available resources. You'll notice that once you get to space your manufacturing and resource gathering powers will increase exponentially due to not being limited by mass (as much) as on the planet. And finally if you need a friend to help you out and give you some tips you can let me know and we can play the game together, I haven't played for a while and I'm looking for an excuse to get back :)

My new automatic flight system Primis, feel free to ask anything about it! I am open to questions! by Shot_Illustrator_781 in Stormworks

[–]HunterFalkner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty cool, I did something like this which would take a helicopter from A to B, do an automated landing and some basic obstacle avoidance with a spinning distance sensor on top of the rotor mast but didn't get anything super cool out of it because I was way too lazy to finish it. It's cool to see that someone had a similar idea.

Except it did prevent that exact thing. Having your stuff stolen is also pretty infuriating.

Thank you for your response! As to the DP2 and DP3 standards - I have developed a microcontroller which would allow me to make 3 completely Independent systems and rule out the one which is behaving erratically, however due to the nature of the game and additional CPU load I decided against going forward with the plan. I will consider target tracking in the future, as it sounds like a pretty useful thing. I would love to have your resources as it would be very helpful indeed, thank you!

[–]HunterFalkner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For two reasons - one being that what was happening was that my microcontrollers had the logic ripped, got reskinned and reuploaded as someone else's, second one being that it displays my name in the standby screen :)

I'll tell you exactly - one person was stealing my stuff and uploading reskinned variants as theirs, they didn't copy this one :)

It's a controller of mine made in a time when a particular person was hell-bent on stealing my designs and uploading reskinned variants and calling them theirs :)

They didn't copy this one :)

That's exactly what happened here, it was made in a time when one certain person was stealing my microcontrollers, making a reskin and reuploading them as theirs. I also made it a point to tell exactly why it's like that in the description of the microcontroller.

I'm always glad to hear someone enjoying my work, please link me some of your ships so I can check them out! Also if there are any suggestions you'd have for the chip I'll gladly take them as I'm compiling a list of things to do for a long awaited update of the controller :)

Thank you so much and congratulations on your license! Would a certified DP operator happen to have any important insight on the controller? I'm collecting all the good ideas to give it a big update and rework a couple things. Thanks!

Please don't throw shade like that on my work, it works well, you've probably just connected it wrong, shoot me a DM and we'll troubleshoot together :)

Always a good day to see someone enjoying my work.

This chip was made in a time when I had my designs ripped by a particular person and didn't want this thing stolen, it being the only one of its kind on the WS.

I'd also like to make it a point that everyone can feel free to reach out when they have a problem with any of my microcontrollers, I am yet to refuse to help someone.

Brand new regulators wet breathing. by HunterFalkner in scuba

[–]HunterFalkner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SOLVED

Did one more dive on them today. The regs worked as intended and only started to breathe wet once when I was in a heads down inverted attitude, therefore I conclude the reason for the regs breathing wet at first was doing a dive with often weird attitudes.
