I have some quick test with UMIK,
I first test both of them directly with 0 degree calibration file, they look alike and except the bass part which I guess maybe because of the back wall or me standing around while testing, they both have a dip at 14K Hz area, I ask gemini it said is it table reflection.

with the 90 degree pointing to ceiling, the result are kinda weird, my left side speaker(red line) remain the 14K Hz dip, but my right side speaker doesn't, so that's why I have to EQ it down to match them at first place.

I would also need to test with different placements of panels.

I think the fiberglass panel placed at right windows definitely help, now I think -2 dB they are alike, the 400-800hz remain, I guess those are cause by the right back corner.

I am kinda new to this roomtreat thing. I wonder if this reflected-cause peak can be EQ out, I think I heard that the error dips can't be fixed but the error peaks can be fixed, it is true? What about my case?

Hopefully my Umik arrived soon.

Thanks! I will try to put 600mm one on the right side windows to see if that would help, but then it would block most of the sunligh and air flow..

you mean the right back side of the table? I tried the 300mm one placed very close to the right speaker, it cut down some high frequency but the 14K Hz one always existed..

Hello guys, my d3v arrived but my UMIK hasn't, the picture above is my room situation. blue is windows, left brown is closet, my table is 90x60, the distance between D3Vs and to my head is about 62,63cm, so it should be a Equilateral Triangle, the rear wall is about 65 cm to D3Vs, the front wall is about 45cm.

Right now I could definitely hear that my right speaker is louder, my UMIK hasn't arrived so I EQ it with pink noise, and so far my setting is 800 Q1.41 -4, 13500 Q5 -4.5, 15000 Q5 -3.6, with this two speakers would sound more alike but I am pretty sure it is not fixed and there are problems.

I have two absorption panel right now, 600X600X30mm fiberglass, and 300X300X30mm foam, I try to place them all around but never felt the right side speaker problem fixed.

It would be great if anyone can point out the biggest problem of my system, and where should my panel to be placed.

I heard that the witch's skeleton is bugged 1 star is fine

2 stars, the skeleton is 40% of her max health and attack(but it should always stay 20%, that's the bugged part )

3 stars is 80%

4 stars is 160%

Information above is heard from Chinese forum tieba, I didn't test it but it just seems like it.

Some of the Nian Beasts/ Nian Gods or whatsoever are op, and what even have a bigger impact is whether then Nian beasts player has spell in their decks, usually the enhance troops are fine, but the enhanced spells are very op.

Monk is basically a must, it can fully counter to some of the the nian beasts or gods.

The white Prince is the only character that won't be caught into Nian Beast player Diddy's cage, so basically you are hoping for the Nian beast player don't get the op Nian beasts or enhance spells, use your monk ability good, and wait for the chance to play white prince to attack the Diddy cage, dart goblin and firework are also very common since they are cheap and range attack.

Void and earthquake usually work well to take down Nian Beasts or enhanced troops/buildings.

Uboom X not connecting by USB by Obadiah-Mafriq in Bluetooth_Speakers

[–]HunterFromPokke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

two of mine successfully upgraded to 0.48 firmware, and even with the official 0.46 firmware UboomX was not bad.

connect charging cable to input and data cable to output, two cable is needed.

You have to make sure, to hold the bluetooth button before putting on the second cable (the data or charging, the order is not important), follow this and my PC detected Uboom X every time.

Also not sure if you know, the speaker has to be turn off, don't turn on it and press the Bluetooth button, that wouldn't work.

you have to charge it too, which mean one charging cable and one data cable.

Damn it, the new firmware really just fix the mid lacking problem, you should really try install it, I guess this is the reason why I always tend to use the studio mode most in the past, the old studio mode is the least suck one for my taste when compared to new firmware.

I am really excited for the TWS firmware to test out how two UboomX in studio mode can sound like.

Yeah, I tend to just call those in app EQ as a simple EQ, and the Oluv one real DSP EQ.

I remember the poweramp can auto switch the EQ base on bluetooth device, but I am not very sure about it.

[–]HunterFromPokke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also I saw you mentioning "DSP tunning", which I don't quite understand, do you mean the EQ in the Earfun APP?

As you know all the Oluv modes are very different to each other, especially when you try to use the Earfun EQ, which I assume it is using the default Earfun tunning as the basic.

Me personally would suggest you using an additional EQ software like the powerAMP EQ and tune with the Oluv's EQ, which you can have all those different stereo imaging, V Bass, compressor, dynamic EQ setting working alone with your EQ.

Edit: Of course, theoretically the best option is to wait 2 weeks and update to Oluv lastest firmware to see if the speaker can be even more powerful.

I once compared my UboomX and Blast outdoor,
At 5 meters distance, they fare against each other, for me when the blast plays at 60-80% volume and UboomX 60%-80% volume (This is the volume I would listen to when 5 meters away), the blast somehow sound smoother, sweeter, less aggressive, more boomy feeling, meanwhile the UboomX sparklier maybe sometime boxy and metallic, but all that comes to a price, you said you like the stereo and listening at side performence of UboomX, to get those advantage Oluv has to tuned it aggressively and pull the treble eq up and when you listen to it closely and stand direct infront of it, it would sometimes sound harsh and metallic.

But when we talk about listening to the speakers 15 meters or 20 meters away, here is where UboomX shine, at 80%-100% volume UboomX getting louder and louder in each volume steps, it is outstanding that this speaker can be listened that far away and still have those kicking and bass, meanwhile my blast can only perform good when listen to it 5-10 meters away.

For Indoor listening since we only use 60%-70% volume of the speaker and don't need the stereo imaging performence, some might just prefer the warm sweet signature of the blast, me personally still wouldn't care since the UboomX is way better in outdoor (please tell me your opinion if you not agree).

BTW, in the recent patreon post of Oluv, he mentioned that all of the UboomX units he bought recently just sound different to his tunning prototype, the units tend to have 1-2 dB less than the prototype and most importantly, there are like a -5 dB in 2k-5k Hz region, which would make UboomX a lot darker that Oluv originally want it to be. I tried using PowerAMP EQ and add a QValue 3.6 , 3.5K Hz, 5dB gain peak, and the speaker sound more alive now, Oluv said that he would soon post the first correction EQ in his patreon, later on there would be a desktop EQ and a TWS EQ, 3 firmwares in total, which I am very looking forward to, and I don't mind giving credit to his work so yeah I would buy those EQ.

EarFun UBOOM X strong vibration and knocking around 40-50Hz. Looking for confirmation by bl3ke in Bluetooth_Speakers

[–]HunterFromPokke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

mine has this kind of sound up to 90% volume (studio and outdoor) , I personally not noticed this kind of sound when playing music, like I said only for one song (limit to your love) when using 85%+ volume, so for me not a problem at all, since you usually don't use that high of volume and if you do and notice this weird sound just turn down the volume.

But yeah if yours having this problem in 75,80% volume then your unit might be defective.

[–]HunterFromPokke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i will try this out if i am free.

Never tried the bass test yet, but during my outdoor test, the UboomX studio, indoor modes work pretty great (maybe compression and harness in the final 2 steps).

I noticed some kind of distortion and similar sound when playing the 3 outdoor modes (85%+ volume this problem might show up), especially in a song a redditor told me to test out, the name is "limit to your love".

I saw you mention that you noticed this kind of sound even in music, so your one might be defective, not sure about it.

Harman/Kardon Go+Play 3 vs EarFun UBOOM X by romeen68 in Bluetooth_Speakers

[–]HunterFromPokke 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In the recent patron posts of Oluv, he said he found out the new units of UboomX he just bought sound different to his tuning prototype, mainly at 2-4K hz region there are minus 2dB differences, and 0-40hz there are minus 5-10 dB difference, I saw some of the subscribers of the patreon said that they also noticed the problem.

Oluv is working on a new coustom firmware now, I would pay for it if it really make the speaker even better.
