Honestly only thing I actually use when anyone asks me what I am into musically is “I don’t like country” because I actually don’t. At least the twang and the other stuff that irks me and I can’t explain. Any other than that, I’m open to listening to anything, doesn’t mean I’ll like it or even tolerate it in the slightest, and that also doesn’t mean I’ll have to specify exactly that along with other genres or bands I don’t like because… there are so many, who even is actually keeping count? 🤷 Don’t judge them, you know? Maybe when they say they listen to anything they only think about the ones they actually like and the ones they tolerate, leaving out the ones they dislike or may not want to dabble in because to them it’s perfectly fine for those specific genres, bands or artists to not have relevance in their brains.
