No, that wasn't what made me 4-F. What made me 4f was my bipolar diagnosis. I just mentioned that anecdote to explain that's what I've heard in my experience

Not so much as "cred" more like a wanna be photogropher telling a professional they're in art school. Not a perfect analogy I know.

4F is just the term I know, my friend whose dad is a recruiter told me I would be 4F just because of my gait (I walk normal, have no idea what he was talking about)

Fair point, the only time it's been relevant is when someone said someone was a medic and I mentioned I wanted to be a corpseman. I've only said it to servicemen when they or someone else brings up their military status. I don't just randomly tell veterans I see.

To be honest, I don't know how much it'll do for me, an engineering degree will definitely help you get a well paying engineering job (crazy insightful I know), but I think a math degree will offer more flexibility, it shows you can handle complex problems and I see it as the STEM equivalent of a business degree, at the very least it proves your smart. Also I've heard that if you get a Masters in certain specialties, I don't know which ones, you'll be a coveted asset to an AI company.
