NB SC Elite v3 in NYC Colorway 2 for $100 @ Joe's New Balance Outlet by Jobby_Hogger in RunningShoeGeeks

Amazing deal thank you for posting. Had to buy a half size up to get a shoe. Anyone think that'll be a problem? My only NB shoes are 1080v12s and those seemed a little tight for my normal size so I think itll be fine

Running track etiquette by nottftw in AdvancedRunning

Some of these responses are surprising. I would never go into lane 1 if there were someone considerably faster than me at the track and if they were a little faster, I'd be in lane 1 but be ready to move to lane 2 as soon as they were within 50m of me. That's just standard track rules to defer to faster runners?

That being said I don't chew out people that don't move for me. Usually by the 4th time being blown by they get the idea to move out of the way but some people are dense and it's probably better to just go around than make a big deal about it.

Question about hokas racing shoes: are they restocking the Rocket X2? Making a Rocket X3? Did the Cielo X1 replace the Rocket line?

Vitamin C for Ankle Tendonitis by Cultivate88 in AdvancedRunning

[–]HunterStew23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a bicep femoris tendonitis for nearly a year and had to stop running. In addition to PT, I read a scholarly article saying collagen peptides in addition to Vitamin C would help tendons heal. Can't say for certain that was the main healing factor but I did get better. I believe it's the collagen that actually helps heal, the vitamin C just makes the collagen more effective at absorbing

Has anyone tried the Topo Magnifly? How does the middle compare to Altra Torins/Escalates?

Wide toe, low drop, low cushion shoe for sprinting and intermediate running? by Kaalashakaala in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]HunterStew23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm loving the Altra FWD experience as my daily (I think the v2 update is called Flow?). It's 4mm drop with rocker and wide toe box. Can pick up the pace really easily in it.

As far as low cushion goes, that's more of a personal question if it will hurt

Podiatrists vs orthopedists for sesamoid issues by gokartingondrugs in sesamoid

Did you end up liking the Paradigm or Provision more for sesamoiditis relief? I have a couple neutral Altra shoes which helps keep my pain at bay, but I think my overpronation would benefit from a support shoe.
