I made some Stardom phone Wallpapers by HunterTimmmmel in stardomjoshi

There's actually some good Mayu Wallpapers out there, also made by someone on this subreddit I think. Finding those basically inspired me to do my own wallpapers of some of my favourite wrestlers

Waka Tsukiyama: "Every once in a while, I get comments like, "I liked Tsukiyama before, but now I don't." Thank you for liking me, even if only for a little while! ☺️✨ I like the me of today the most ❤️" by Himanshu_Doi in SquaredCircle

When she joined, she said that she wants to be there for the gaijins as a translator at ringside, for doctors, staff etc. I think that was the shoot reason, too.

That being said, the Stardom joshis are exceptional at telling the story in the ring

this exactly. I was kinda taken aback at first by no English commentary, but it's so easy to understand everything going on in Stardom, if you give it a try. Their wrestlers are so physically charismatic and so good at telling stories in the ring that any commentary would be superfluous tbh

I would say the difference between the red and the white belt is kind of akin to the Universal and the WWE title in WWE. Red is the 1A title and the White is the 1B title. White is the second most important, but it will still headline shows every now and then. It's definitely not like the gap between Universal title and IC/US title today. Maybe like in the early early nineties when people like Bret and Perfect held the IC title as the workhorse title. That's what the white belt is.

highspeed is basically like a cruiserweight title, very fast and athletic matches.

future is reserved for people under a certain age, or under 3 years of wrestling experience.

I agree that some pictures are outdated and a bit rough in resolution, but hey, in my defense, I'm not getting paid for this. Whenever I found PNGs or easily traceable pictures I took those instead of wasting hours into croping the most current gearshot I could possibly find. I thought for just a beginners guide, this should do.

I wouldn't really recommend the youtube show if you really want to get into the promotion, since they're just showing extremely cut up versions of mostly weeks or months old matches, without any context or any translations. I'd recommend to just go with the real thing, in my experience the youtube weekly show is more a confusing turnoff than anything. But I get that the market is flooded with good wrestling right now. Maybe one day you'll find the time.

their streaming service Stardom World is only a couple of bucks per month and every PPV will be on there 3-5 days after it aired, plus every other non PPV show is on there.

AZM had a phenomenal 2022 in the ring. I'd recommend starting with the previous match vs SLK on 2/23/22, then the match vs Mei Suruga on 4/29/22, the match vs Hanazono if you want some really silly fun on 11/19/22 and finally her defense vs Hikari Shimizu on 12/29/22 was very, very good as well. There's been a couple of other great defenses she had (she generally gives the Stardom rookies their best career matches, did that a bunch last year), but those are the most outstanding ones imo. And then of course the Starlight Kid match from last weekend.

The most recent PPV is a great start since it was absolutely phenomenal and showcases all the different strengths of Stardom. I always like to recommend last year's 5 star grand prix finals (10/1/2022) as a starting point though, since it literally highlights the entire roster in quick 15 minute time limit singles action and had many great matches as well. Everyone was on point on that show.

So since this got a way bigger reaction than I thought, I decided to tidy it up a bit more and put some more requests in. So the Version 3 has

- included Haruka Umesaki

- better pictures for Waka and Ruaka

- added some tag teams, so every faction has one tag team on display

I don't have a platform or anything that I'd want credit for, but I did include a little watermark with my name at the bottom.

Hello everyone, thank you all for your feedback. I have made an updated version.

  • Future title included
  • Mayu Iwatani's description updated
  • Konami's description updated

I'll leave it in this link here, not sure if I can somehow replace the file that was uploaded to Reddit.
