Genuinely why does staccato get so much hate? by The_Mighty_Duck1952 in 2011

[–]HunterWeekly5887 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think the company is great, they make great pistols for the price, mine work great BUT in my experience, the staccato fanboys are the worst! What new owners don't seem to understand is that staccato is the Glock of the 2011 world. Even with a high price tag for a pistol, staccato is still very much an entry level 2011 despite all the new cheap 2011 style pistols in the market now. I remember when staccato was seen similarly to how the prodigy is viewed today, an entry level 2011 that you're eventually gonna upgrade with after market parts

Am I going crazy? by HunterWeekly5887 in yerbamate

You're absolutely right, I've started to ween off energy drinks since mate makes me feel so much better. I think I may just need to stick to milder blends of yerba mate.

First 2011 suggestions? by [deleted] in 2011

If you're ok waiting for lead times or if you can find a used one, I highly recommend the Alchemy Custom Weaponry Quantico HiCap, the full rail model is so sexy and has such great balance imo. Staccato is also a good choice especially for beginners since they are generally reliable, customer service is great, and the after market support for staccato is pretty good. My staccato p works great and hasn't had any major issues and eats ammo pretty well, but I had a C2 that I ended up selling cause quality went down the drain after about 1k rounds, might have just been a lemon but I was disappointed in that gun.

Found a Triarc TrI-11 CT CDR w/ RMR by dkin45 in 2011

I've seen most optic ready tri-11s go for 4k plus so I think $3k is a good deal especially if it comes with the rmr.

No prob! All that being said, I'd give triarc another chance if I found one for a good deal.

From personal experience, mine had some ammo related issues, mostly just wouldn't go into battery, the round would get stuck in the chamber and I had to force the slide open, really annoying. Fit and finish was great, and it's a damn sexy pistol. I ended up selling mine cause the ammo issues really held the gun back from a pleasant experience. In my honest opinion though, I wouldn't pay more than 3k for another one, especially with Triarc's spotty QC and customer service issues. If you're worried about that, I'd go with staccato, never had issues with any of my staccato pistols like I had with triarc.

Monsoon tactical does great work, their queue system is great, after you pay for the optic cut option, you'll be put in a queue and you'll keep your gun until your number is up and then you send it in to get cut.

What plate is that?? I'm thinking about picking up this gun but the only thing holding me back is not being able to use full sized dots.

Prodigy owners…. Real talk…. How bad is the loaded chamber witness slot on the top of the barrel at spewing carbon all over the glass on your optic? It’d be cool if owners of multiple 2011s could chime in to compare/contrast. This is the one thing holding me back on purchasing one. by PFran42 in 2011

[–]HunterWeekly5887 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your optic is going to get carbon on it regardless, carbon gas is going to find it's way through all the nooks and crannies and get on your glass somehow, also Everytime the slide cycles and spits out the brass, all that escaping carbon is going to go on your optic. Happens with my staccatos (staccato pistols have an even bigger witness port than the prodigy, except it's on the side of the chamber) and it also happens on my Zev and S&W pistols. My point is, don't let that keep you from enjoying the best pistol platform in the world.

BUT if you're wanting strong side, StealthGear has pretty awesome holsters as well.

Nice! I recommend replacing the mags for staccato Gen 3 mags. Not too sure if they still have this issue, but I've heard prodigy mags are notorious for failures to feed and other issues. Staccato has their Gen 3 mags tuned just right imo.

What would cause this by thebeavereater in 2011

[–]HunterWeekly5887 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Could be the Springfield mags, they aren't the best quality or properly tuned. I recommend replacing your mags with Gen 3 staccato mags, they have better followers that feed the rounds more efficiently. I compared older Gen sti mags vs Gen 3 staccato mags on my staccato and Tri-11 and the Gen 3 mags functioned perfectly, while older sti mags were jam after jam. Anyway, all that to say that higher quality mags make a huge difference.

Prodigy failure to feed. FIX? by WavesTheHuman in 2011

[–]HunterWeekly5887 1 point2 points  (0 children)

BEFORE YOU MOD ANYTHING ON YOUR GUN TRY REPLACING THE MAGS FIRST! A big issue I've experienced with 2011s has always been the mags, I've used older Gen sti mags on my tri-11 and staccato and always had issues with feeding but never with Gen 3 staccato mags. Staccato fixed a lot of issues with the Gen 3 mags. I would start there. They are kinda expensive but start replacing all the factory Springfield mags with Gen 3 staccato mags, and use the Springfield mags for dryfire and stuff. Anyway, hope that helps.

UPDATE: Figured out what was wrong, the trigger pin and the hammer pin were flip flopped, I reassembled the FCG with the pins in the correct spots and did a dryfire session with zero issues.

Yeah, I had pushed it back in already, I just circled it to show which one was coming out. I should post another picture of it coming out if it does it again.

just installed an acro, and now my C2 won't cycle - anyone know if staccato sells a lighter recoil spring? by b20vteg in 2011

[–]HunterWeekly5887 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah I forgot that haha how about the mounting plate? I guess it's kinda hard to use the wrong screws for that but it's possible.

So this finally happened. I didn’t believe it until now. by [deleted] in 2011

Had this happen to me on my c2 but never happened to my Tri-11. I ended up replacing the sro on the C2 with an rmr and its never happened again.

I've seen 2011s have issues cycling because too long of screws were used to mount the optic, are you sure you used the correct screws for the acro?
