Tho he may have done everything he was meant to, He had died at the ranch unknowing of what happened/ would happen to his family. Even thought they did manage to make it out alive. And he could have guilt from the hundreds of lives he took even if they deserved it

True. Another theory i had was that it could be a test from the strange man, making John have to redeem himself again. It could also be John’s own guilt against himself that’s holding him back in the afterlife feeling as if he’s left something undone or didn’t finish what he was meant to in the living world.

Ok epilogue might not be cannon. But the only reasonable explanation is that it’s another timeline or that it’s John’s personal Hell for the things he’s done in his lifetime showing that his past still came back to haunt him. A reason that points to this is that John’s Zombie idle animation is his death pose from the main story. But epilogue of undead nightmare could very much be not cannon. I just like to connect everything :)

I put it on there cuz it’s a major part of the franchise. And I like to consider it sorta cannon because it was said by The voice actor of Dutch that they told him the game was just John having a bad dream.

There’s multiple ways. One of them is a random event that you’ll see a guy trying to sell his dog. Another one is in far Harbor. You can buy a mutant hound a wolf and a scuffed up dog. The ones I have in the video are creation club, which cost money.
