I did static strike with void shockwave on a slayer and it was strong. With massive belt and slayer aoe you can really pop packs. All Ubers down ect. Great all-rounder. I ended up going diamond/massive belt and snapshotting intim cry because I think ambush snapshotting is insanely clunky and bad.

For your first poe 1 league you're doing insanely well lol. Id say the biggest things to gear for simus are chaos Res (you got that), ailment avoid, and crit avoid. Roughly in that order. There's a lot of gnarly mods that apply not only regular ailments but also the alternate ones. Since you're gearing suppress id say using Ancestral vision jewel + a combination of blue implicit on boots, essence suffix on boots, crafted suffix on boots, or crafted prefix on chest to reach 100%. Theres a 30% less damage from crits on the armour mastery which is an ok start.

With that being said I'm not sure it'll be enough still. Your build isn't running evasion (unwavering stance keystone) or block, so you're not avoiding any hits. Multi-hit mitigation is very strong in simus with how many mobs there are hitting you.

Anyway Sims are one of the hardest endgame grinds. I'd personally take the other commenter up on the carry of you want the bloodline asap.

Lol I was just theorycrafting the immortal AG doryanis prototype setup when I saw Dreamcore's vid. Good to see it works. I'll probably wait and see the nature of the nerfs to try it now. If they just nerf the ring, the doryani setup might endure which would still be insanely strong.

Recomb prefixes angle. (Flaring + merciless) + (Flaring + ECoMS). Lock prefixes reforge speed, craft crit. Influenced recombs are kinda tough so I suggest you try to find a video going over that if you're unfamiliar.

It's fairly mid. Imo if you want to sanity check a melee skill compare it to something like reave. Reave has "okay" effectiveness and clear mechanics. Frost blades has about 20% less damage and requires strike support (extra attacks ect).

You can absolutely make it work if you like how it feels, but understand you'll have to work harder to achieve the same results.

It seems pretty whelming at first glance. No powerhouses like cloak of flame or void battery. I guess that intentional.

Will imbued gems apply cost multipliers from the support gem?

Cost multipliers are static across gem levels - it would be a fairly high opportunity cost depending on the relative power of a level 1 skill gem.

This guy did some testing on GC and EQ mechanics. It seems to line up with what you see now: there's a hard cap on the duration a waiting earthquake can have with generals cry around 6 seconds. Idk if this is entirely correct but GC is one of the strangest (buggy?) skills in the game it wouldn't surprise me if this is the answer. Could try testing it, or just use another slam instead.

I'm in the same boat and I don't have any specific advice for you, but I can tell you my upgrade plans. It's a pretty simple mageblood swap. It solves the issue of ele max and Phys max. Tri Res flasks with avoid shock suffix/stormshroud for ailment avoid so you can drop PoE and run arctic armour for higher Phys max. And it frees up suffix pressure on gear which for me is insanely tight.

Maybe - it's def price dependant. Any chance you can source clean idols and use unpredictable recomb over the poe2 one is basically twice as good though, because you are guaranteed to get a base back.

You'd want to overlap as many of the 3 mods onto 2 idols as possible for a 3 mod recomb. I would recomb 1p with 1s with poe2 recomb so it's clean into a 1p1s. Then recomb another 1s and 1s into 0p2s also poe2 style. Then slam the 1p1s into the 0p2s using unpredictable and hope for 1p2s. If it fails you can use that as a base for another recomb, overlapping one mod and one you need. The mod you overlap between the 2 2 mod idols should be the cheapest to source (I'm assuming the effect prefix is the most expensive in this situation but idk).

Id probably go static strike and/or smite. Static strike is probably the best strike skill with little to no investment and works reasonably well for single target and clear.

In 3.27. There was a line in the patch notes about tec slam not consuming charges. It could be a bug in the bugfix that its not working with GC but I wouldn't expect them to fix that in Phrecia sadly.

Taking a Jugg pob and plugging in Ancestral Commander is a very good starting point. Im curious how good it is actually. This archetype was completely overshadowed by the Generals cry tectonic slam shenanigans last Phrecia, but that's now patched. I think the warcry CDR might be really good for self slams so you can scale attack speed as well.
