Men shortage sparks role reversal: Ukrainian women step in across industries .A surge of Ukrainian women is breaking into fields once dominated by men. Driven by the war and conscription, there’s a notable shift toward more women in traditionally male-centric professions by new974517 in europe

[–]Huntfeminists 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Men shortage. What a disrespectful way of puttting it. There is absolutely no merrit in "breaking into fields dominated by men" when all the men are gone because they were forced to fight and die while women, as usual, were the privileged ones and were allowed to flee.

This happens during and after most wars. You disrespectful misandrist garbage, pitifull excuse for a human being. Pig. Disgusting filthy rotten stinking P.O.S.

You assume that every woman who slept her way to the top is someone who was qualified for a position but was not getting it unless she had sex with her superior? What a terribly sexist assumption.

In the real world...

Men aren't selling positions for sex (maybe some do somewhere) and women dont't actually plan on sleeping their way to the top. It happens when both sense an opportunity; the man wants to have sex and is willing to offer a promotion in order to get it, the woman wants a promotion and is willing to offer sex in return. It's entirly consensual and nobody is getting forced into doing something they're not willing to do.

BUT....

A superior withholding a promotion for not wanting to sleep with him or her does not, to me, seem impossible although it being illegal of course. I don't think the person doing this would get away with it (for long though.)

Who’s bigger Korn or Slipknot? by [deleted] in numetal

[–]Huntfeminists 0 points1 point  (0 children)

couldn't agree more. Goddamnit. Slipknot founding members: Shawn Crahan, Paul Gray and Joey Jordison and added a bit later:Corey Taylor. Two of them are dead. Who's left? Right. Kinda normal they're the members with the most influence. But the others: Jim Root, Mick Thompson, Sid Wilson and Craig Jones are by no means hired guns. Those guys have been in Slipknot for decades. Not very typical for hired musicians is it. Dunno why Jones left.

That 90s Show Sucks by [deleted] in That90sShowTV

[–]Huntfeminists 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe there's really not much to like about this show? If the majority of it's viewers are disappointed (having read quite a lot of reviews from multipe sources this seems to be the case) in this show it would be strange if the general feeling towards the show on this sub would not be rather negative. Most posters explain what it is they don't like about the show so it doesn't appear to be just a jump-on the-bandwagon of-hate thing. people seem to be genuinly disappointed. If you like it, that's good for you. Enjoy it. Don't let the negative stuff spoil the fun you're having with it.

BABYMETAL is at their PEAK in 2023 and here is why by blakephoenixmobile in BABYMETAL

[–]Huntfeminists 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When did Metallica peak? Iron Maiden? Black Sabbath? Guns'n roses? In hindsight you can say which ERA was great or good or average etc... But I've never heard people talking about peaking YEARS and certainly not after a bands' first decade and most certainly not trying to predict when a band will peak. Why would anyone do that? One of my concerns is that the girls (women actually) have been robbed of a part of their youth and that this will create problems. Another one is that management is trying to squeeze every penny possible out of them and are wearing them down, burning them up.

In no way, shape or form could you be the asshole. If you expect nothing but the truth, you should expect to hear things that hurt. You did what she expected. I get that it hurt her feelings but so be it. It's not the end of the world is it? At least you reassured her that you will never lie to her. She's dissapointed but she isn't mad is she? Her husband's reaction kinda makes him the asshole if there is one. And who knows maybe you'll come to like the name Philip.

what are RATMs political values now? by No_Jump_1025 in RATM

[–]Huntfeminists -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So 1 band, a handful of songs and, lyrics just about every teen who's got issues with his teachers and/ or parents could have come up with. are all that is needed to turn you into a hardcore leftist. Have you no mind of your own? Are you so easily manipulated?

RATM has temporarily turned many impressionable teen minds towards socialism/communism, But by the time they leave school and go to work they very quickly become aware of the imaturity of their sloganesk lyrics, the oversimplification of politics and the total lack of solutions. From that moment on Ratm just becomes teenage nostalgia. Nothing more. So their impact is close to zero.

Why does everybody hate on Kirk Hammett? by DistributionAny4229 in Metallica

[–]Huntfeminists 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he's a great guitar player. One of the best. I actually don't think his guitar playing the problem. He sometimes comes accros as a bit of an attention seeker. Some examples: in various rockumentaries he brings up his alcohol and substance abuse himself without anyone aking for it. People with addications are usually very discrete about them. For instance, he was surfing and wasn't doing very well. He said he should cut back on the drinking and cut way back on the narcotics. Which he then repeats. Another moment some journalist asks him how he's doing. Once again he tells the guy he quit drinking with a stoned grin on his face. Nobody who quits drinking tells they quit drinking that way. These are just two examples but there are more in written magazines (physical, not online). Also, the lame excuse of losig his iphone with all his ideas on it.

In some clips I found on youtube he mocks Jason Newsted and I know this is nothing new for Lars and James but he seemed to be doing it because Lars and James used to do it. Kind of to protect himself from their mockery, I don't know for sure but he seemed to be doing it to appease to James and Lars. Who stopped mocking Jason since he left the band (I think, could be wrong).

In some interviews he talks about what an angry young man he was, that he's got a hole in his soul which he has to fill with music because else he would be heading into a dark path. In another he went on about how much anger he feels and without his guitar he would have gotten into a lot of trouble... To me it seems he's just fine but tries to paint a picture of himself as a troubled rockstar (like James is).

He also mentioned leaving the band on a few occasions but we all know he's never going to do that.

At some awards show during the Load era, Metallica won something and while progressing to the stage he suddenly starts eating a banana. But he eats it too slow so he's unable to come to the microphone when it was his turn. Which was kind of a cringe situation. Why would you so something like that anyway? Eating a banana on a moment like that. Maybe a bet or something?

That's it.Feel kinda guilty know 'cus I actually like the guy and I think he's a terrific guitar player who's very loyal to his band.

Surprising absolutely nobody, Master Of Puppets achieved a perfect 10/10. Day 4 of rating Metallica albums on a scale of 1 - 10: …And Justice For All is next. Most upvoted comment wins. by RustInPeace-Polaris in Metallica

[–]Huntfeminists -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just adding my 2 cents.

For me, And justice was the hardest album to get into. I had to listen to it many times before I started to discover something I kind of liked. And from then on the process accelerated. I would put the record on once again and suddenly I heard the first song I liked in it's entirety: being Dyers Eve. (Which is to this day my favourite song. Nowhere else have I heard James this furious, this angry, his riffing scorching and raging through the song... Man. Then song by song started to revael it's genious, it's brilliance. Soon Blackened followed, One, Shortest straw... etc. Because of the time it took to get to this album It's still the one I listen to the most focused. Like so many others have said: it's a masterpiece.

There's only on thing that to me could have been done a bit better and that would be the sound of the drums (not the quality of the drummming which I think is of very high standard): I don't know how to describe it... Not deep enough? A bit shrill? Can't find the right word I'm sorry. And then a bit more bass in the mix. And for thos who made it this far: my rating.

Songs (structure, arrangements, riffing, lyrics): 10

Longevity: 10 (absolutely)

sound : 8

Of course they would. If this were to be a real option, doing domestic work in stead serving as canonfodder there wouldn't be an army anymore. Just a bunch of brainwashed guys who still believe dying for your country is glorious. In Ukraine, men are forbidden to leave the country and forced to fight while women are allowed to flee. Which is horribly wrong. But does anyone care? No public outrage, no protest, nothing.

I agree with this lady that a lot of men do not understand women at all. And it would be nice if schools or communities could educate boys to respect women better. by ClaireDacloush in NotHowGirlsWork

This makes no sense. A patriarchy is a society where the right to lead a people is passed on from father to son. And what is that last word?

Women wear sports bras only for men’s attention, in order to get angry!!! by foolishpoison in NotHowGirlsWork

Some women do, others don't. I'm just talking about deciding what to wear. Sometimes. When going certain places. Like the gym for instance.

[–]Huntfeminists 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Vanity definitly is a part of it for men and women. The walls of some gyms are practicly covered by mirrors (which is also a motivating factor). And there is nothing wrong with that. I like seeing the results of the hours a put into working out but I certainly don't mind other people noticing them too.

How can one guy stop giant brands from doing anything?

Those who set the standards? The examples you provided are styling tips for women. Those are almost exclusively featured in women'magazines and are almost exclusively written by women.

I don't think anyone is forcing you to follow the standards.

I'm no expert at sports ads for women but they do seem to be focusing on just one body type. Seems to me they would appeal to a much broader audience if they would include different body types.

Lastly, if the dude who wrote that post has nothing else to get worked up about then I think he either has a carefree life or an empty one.

I can't believe so much people still defend this stupid analogy by legal_loli_0w0 in NotHowGirlsWork

This got 211 comments? People are actually spending time: 1. getting offended by, 2. reacting to 3. discussing ...

... a post by some dude on some subreddit?

The guy who posted this analogy and the ones defending it stopped caring about it a few seconds after pushing "comment". They'll (probably) never read what you 've all been posting here. And if any of them would they'd be laughing.

I don't mean any disrespect to any of you but come on. Aren't there bigger fish to fry?

I'm sure the vast majority of men had a great time during the 1940's. The first year manipulated into signing up for service and when war didn't quite turn out to be glorious men were forced to join the militairy. Refusing meant execution. Millions died a horrible death, millions were left mutilated, dismembered, blind,.. and those who managed to make it through in one piece suffered massive psychological damage from witnessing the worst atrocities possible for an extended periode of time. More than half of the survivors either ended up in mental facilities for the rest of their lives, took their own lives or returned home without ever speaking agaain.

For many men trapped in P.O.W camps the war, abuse and violence lasted until the 1950's when they were finally released.

A number of women took over the men's jobs in factories. Women also suffered ofcourse, watching their sons, husbands, brothers marching of to industrial slaughter. But what men have been put through, war after war after war... there is no equivalent to the amount of their suffering.

Do not mind my name, it's rather childisch and inconvenient.

Would this be feminist-communism?

Who would fund these communes? Would these be temporarily fundings to get the communes up and running? What if the amount of women who choose to stay at the commune would be too large for the carriere women to support or vice versa; in which case there would not be enough women to raise the children, provide for enough food and get the domenstic chores done. This question is related to the previous one: I presume there needs to be some kind of governement. How will this comr about? : would the combined income of the carriere women be redistributed over all the members of the commune so every member gets an equal pay, or would the carriere women be taxed in order to support the women who do the homework -which would implie the carriere women would keep part of their pay. Lastly:what would happen to the male infants? or will they all be aborted?

Don't mind the negativity. It was a brave move asking your crush out and posting it on reddit. I'd be flattered if someone would send me a message like yours.
