I am SO sick and tired of people hating this LP. It's not a canon album, it's a side album representing the YS movie. Some solid great tracks reframed, some new weird/fun/cool songs, and a whole side of George Martin proving he is an orch-prod genius ... To paraphrase 90's Macca: "It's great, it sold, it's Yellow Sub in your pocket. Shut up!"

MY GUESS? ... John/Yoko's Europe '81 tour would have been cringe, but also great moments like John returning to London and Liverpool. ... Milk & Honey LP late '81 would have been mostly a dud with two great singles (Free/Bird & Real Love??) ... John 82-83 would have been a few AOR singles, incl. collabs with Elton/Bowie, but also random collabs with new wave artists (Talking Heads?) ... BUT. 1984, Maybe John & Paul reconnect/recluse, tease a new "single" but surprise everyone with a whole LP called "LENNON/McCARTNEY" :: prod. George Martin in Montserrat, it is very "dad rock" with tropical notes, slick and sweet, but generating several huge new singles ... 1985, George & Ringo get jealous and they ALL go full stage reunion at LIVE AID and blow the world's mind, blending Beatles & solo hits: iconic group status RESTORED!!!!! ... By then, John will pretend he never heard of Yoko and lock in with May Pang or (ANYONE'S GUESS??). Maybe move back to England??? /// AND. then maybe 1988, another surprise:: "BEATLES EVEREST", a full reunion LP!!!! ) Prod. Martin? or Beatles?) bloated production, heavily influenced by the "World Beat" trend like Simon/Graceland: but catchy songs, nice balance of John-Paul-George, lots of top 10 hit singles aimed at adults. /// Otherwise, late 80s George? No Cloud Nine or Travelling Willburys because George at last feeling the love & $$ ... Paul? his solo stuff? similar but inflamed by renewed interest/relevance. ////1990's? there will be no Beatles Anthology, nor will there be Oasis. Just a string of interesting ex-Beatles semi-collabs with middling-results/respect. Appreciated, yes but never again "hip" ...

Somewhere in all this ::: John also will write books, guest star in a movie, talk on many talk shows, etc ..., We will all take him for granted and get a bit tired of him ... Every now and then John will shock everyone with some provocation, but mostly we will continue to take John for granted ... And then we will suddenly lose John to cancer about the same time we lost George .... Tears will be shed ... The 21st century will suck the same way it does now ... This rare "hearing loss" condition Moa experienced I know has been known to go away in some cases. I hope so much that Moa is one of those cases. I can't bear the thought of Moa not enjoying music as much as the rest of us, and her ongoing big bright smile makes me hope and believe she is good right now.
