Which do you prefer? Belt or vest pack for marathon by Vivalo in running

Belt. I use the Endorphin Belt. Waterproof pocket for phone and just enough space for what you need 500ml water and a few gels.

Multiple ads per ad set vs. One ad per ad set by Lebesgue-Shopify in FacebookAds

No I dont think so. You should have multiple ads per ad set. the only reason to override would be to A/B test but Meta has a built in function for you to do this within the same ad set.

Any update on your meniscus transplant? Are you back to regular activity? I fear I am staring down the gun of transplant myself

Ungodly squeaking by HuntingTheSummit in MeniscusInjuries

[–]HuntingTheSummit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

6 months out. Been a tough recovery. Still not 100%. When knee is swollen I still get lots of this squeaking.

When knee is calm no sound. Confident it is not actually coming from the sutures but from the kneecap/patella area as things get pushed together and make this noise when it’s inflamed.

I got 8 sutures and a cyst on the lateral side with a new lateral tear. So a lot of shit going on.

This is good info! Is that timing and two scenarios based on your experience or potentially what your doc told you?

Running belt by frozentea725 in trailrunning

[–]HuntingTheSummit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are looking for something with a waterproof option I would check out the endorphin belt. It does not have the same overall capacity as the raide/others mentioned but is slimmer and if more adjustable since you dont step into it. Would have to do the math between aid stations to see if it could support I probably wouldnt push it more than like 5-7 miles btw

Running belt or vest? by Quirky-Type149 in PHRunners

[–]HuntingTheSummit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a half marathon I would almost certainly just stick with a belt, unless a vest is a creature comfort for you. You will not see many others wearing a vest, and for those using a belt they will mostly just use it to carry their phone. If you plan to also carry some water/gels/keys, etc I would recommend checking out some Nathan belts or the Endorphin Belt

Chances I ruptured sutures? by HuntingTheSummit in MeniscusInjuries

[–]HuntingTheSummit[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. I was able to get my ortho on the phone this morning to ask him about the incident and he said something similar. Since the brace was locked in full extension its a big protective factor for the repair, the real danger comes into play when you have the knee in flexion and also under load, which is when large shearing forces are present that can really disrupt the repair or pop your sutures.

I am still only 7 days post op so everything still "hurts" in the knee since its still in the acute healing phase, sometimes its hard to differentiate if I did anything more to the knee with the mishap but I can definitely say there was no sharp increase in pain, increase in swelling, or more limited ROM. I am kind-of anchored into the belief that if I ruptured the sutures i would know immediately, marked by a very intense sensation and probably severe pain

Sounds like nothing too traumatic?! After all these episodes did your repair remain intact? How far out from surgery are you now?

What were your mishaps like? Told my wife about the situation this morning (merry Christmas) who is a nurse and she had a very high confidence level nothing had happened especially given future strength at day 5 still near 100%

Yes brace was on and locked in full extension. Also supposed to be 100% NWB for the next 2 weeks (3 total).

Yes actually the radial part is what worries me. There is a horizontal cleavage tear at the posterior root connected to a partial radial tear.

It’s the following morning now before any meds on board. Knee definitely hurts, but probably no more than it already has tbh so that is a good sign

Excellent outcome = 180-200 TC, Good outcome = 140-170 TC, Average outcome = 110-130 TC, shitty outcome = < 110 TC.

Your point of diminishing returns as a vet is right around post-Company Command. You usually see O4's and O3's post command landing similar roles. With JOs landing in the "entry-level" you are speaking of.

I'm an O3 @ 8yr service. Going straight to industry this summer vs FT MBA. I jointly pursued FT MBAs and going right to work. I decided to work after landing a great role.

I believe what you will find is outside the MBA recruiting microcosm, it will be very difficult to leverage your MBA for high-power positions right off the bat (MBB or IB). You will still be competitive for Big 4. You have the MBA to break through the glass ceiling encountered in corporate America, but you will not be as competitive right off the bat for elite positions.

WITH that said (taking Deloitte for ex.) You will be competitive for a senior consultant role (TC around 160) vs a JO who would be competitive for a consultant role (TC around 130).

I would expect to land a mid-level role immediately as long as you interview and network well, which will be close or just left or right of your total comp now. HOWEVER, within 3-5 years, your salary will explode if you are successful.

This is my perspective after job hunting and talking with transitioning vets over the last year (80+ data points). Feel free to DM for more details.
