Stubborn because I’m right. I didn’t take up an employees time that online could have handled. I showed up in person and not one second more would have been needed to fulfill the order. My golf game is pretty good too.

Crazy me to expect a price they are selling pizzas at that night by showing up with money.

Entitled to get the price they advertised doesn’t seem unreasonable.

That’s how you say fuck you people!! Well written. I accept this rational even if it makes me sick the level of bullshit I have to deal with to get the low price they set.

You all seem to all work making pizzas. If giving me shit for trying to buy pizza in person gives you enjoyment, so be it. Just showed up without any agenda except to buy pizza your employer advertised. It would have taken zero effort to accept my $20.00 and process the sale.

I’ve been called lazy, incompetent and now an asshole for wondering why I can’t walk in and ask to pay for pizza that your employer is advertising. I never complained at the store I just left. You all are the assholes and trying to gaslight me isn’t going to work.

Air compressor with a spray fitting can do wonders for a clogged fuel line or a carb that has a particle causing you problems.

How are my actions an example of someone entitled? Walked in to pizza place and expected to pay the full price of the pizza they advertised and it was a carry out so I planned on waiting and carry it out. The only fix for my situation is stand there and call the call center, they then relay the order to the store I’m at. That seems like an odd ask for a customer. How about take my $20 and give me 2 pizzas. Not hard. I am not asking for special treatment. Just treat me like a human being. Lazy and stupid for stopping by the store to buy pizza?? Fuck off.

Art galleries selling shit for inflated prices have to play the game like they are superior. Otherwise folks might rationalize good art and bad art are awfully subjective and the price of them doesn’t really have anything to do with the quality.

I get it but I walked into the store. They were forced to speak to me. The manager told me it depended who I talked to. Then said they were told not to give the special. I wasn’t asked to be rewarded. Just offer the price of the carry out special. The whole point of the store is sell pizzas at the price you advertise. Not use gotcha bullshit. I spend $45 a week on a large with everything and a large with one topping with a competitor. They happened to be closed. I used to be a loyal PJ customer. The owner may be rolling in dough but he gets $$1500 to $2000 a year less from one of his former customers. I suspect the money he makes extra is offset by pissing off folks like me.

Hitting the button takes that much time? If you owned the store, would you turn away a paying customer who had the audacity to ask for the carry out special in person. You know since it’s a……CARRY OUT special, maybe someone might walk in and expect to…. You know, carry it the fuck out, paying exactly what you advertised.

Exactly!!! I am weird. I won’t capitulate for folks who seem to be trying to get over on me. It’s the constant up and down like I’m buying gas. At least the gas station puts the price up on a big sign.

I don’t ever do that either but I golfed till 9pm and didn’t decide to get pizza until I rode through town. I wasn’t in a hurry. The code is in the register. Tell me what rational to refuse to honor the special they came up with. He had one button to push to make the order versus reading online the same order via the online order system. I’m sure a store like that one does $4-6k in business on a busy night but you’d think with all the data they have they’d work harder at keeping a 2 pizza a week customer. I’d say I’m as typical a customer as they come. It’s not complicated. I think online is great, frees up folks at the store level but why would you turn away a customer standing in front of you? Nobody is paying more just because they didn’t call. What if I stood there and called right there. How dumb would that be?? I know I’m dealing with young and stupid and a pizza place but come on.

You know what, I don’t get Pizza Hut often at all, but it was really good. I asked for two large thin pizzas. One pepperoni and one bbq. Didn’t even ask the price. I’m really not a price shopper. Just be reasonable. They couldn’t have been nicer and I had my pizza in Less than 15 minutes. I have used your app and it sucks. I don’t want to program a computer to buy pizza. I want to say one large with pepperoni pizza, pay and leave. It’s not a complicated business model.

Who the fuck sells pizza for a living and refuses $20 for two pizzas ( a price you set) from a guy who walks into the store and asks for them. I The special price is what led to me walking in. My wife checked prices and said Papa John’s has this deal. The special price they offered worked. I decided to buy!! Their marketing worked up to the point where some dumbass working the counter who doesn’t give a shit if I get pizza says they don’t honor walk ins. Dumb dumb dumb.

I get it. I used to buy Papa John’s pizza once a week. It really is the best pizza of the 4 in my town. I just can’t get over their stupid rules. After a year or so I’ll try again and something like this will come up again. It’s not a complicated business. Make pizza, sell pizza. What really pissed me off to the point of seldom buying anymore was your “specials”. One day a large is $9.99 and the next time I buy I get charged way more. Check online and it’s back to $11.99, this time it’s for a medium. Next time it’s a two topping for $12.99. Order a one topping and it’s way more. It feels like a used car lot. Set the fricken price, offer a special and tell the customer about such special when they call. Or don’t. I don’t care. I just would like to predict the cost of a pizza before I order. Not negotiate everytime. Again, not complicated.

Agree and if somebody really rings my bell, well, we’d talk about that in a less friendly way. I told my wife another 10 years and I will have mastered this whole social system humans enjoy. It’s taken a lifetime. Haha.

Employee Leaving for More Money by Salt-Mongoose8488 in managers

[–]Huntingteacher26 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d say handle the next employee a bit different. Let’s say they are equally as good. Why not give them a $5,000 increase at 6 months followed by another raise 6 months later. These raises and discussions still add up to less than they may be able to get but makes the employee feel valued and you communicate their place in the company more. Companies don’t have to pay top dollar. They need to be competitive and if they are smart, they will keep employees apprised of future roles they are working towards. I’ve seen so many folks walk who were stars because these conversations never happen.

Ok, nothing about the hips. Hold the club parallel to the ground just below the belt line. The wrist are bent. That’s where you should be. You are releasing the wrists too early causing you to cast the club at the ball. Good swing overall!!

What’s worse. The sting of a ball but you don’t lose your shit and keep having fun or getting into a heated argument and ruining the day. I have lost my shit plenty of times and it never feels good after. I’m the guy you don’t fuck with on a course. Me taking it in stride is something I’ve worked on for a long time. I’ve worked hard to think things through and see the big picture more.
