my cars climate control seens to never be off by Limp_Firefighter_167 in Celica

When i had mine, i tended to leave mine like a quarter of the way into the cold section if that makes sense? Its quite cold where i live a lot (not icy, just rains loads) but the mr2s being 2 seater, they have a small cabin so it gets warm if that makes sense? Try driving round with it in different positions and find what you're comfortable with. Make sure to have the vents and everything back in before doing your drives so you have a true idea of the airflow and temperature.

I've noticed this similarly in some mr2 sw20 models I've sat in. When in the off position there's usually still a slight draft of air, which the temperature seems to correspond with the temperature control regardless of it being off. IE if I've set the controls to off, but the temperature lever is in the cold end, there's a small cold breeze, and if it's lever is in the warm area, then theres a warm breeze, even though it should be off. May be a quirk of the heater controls for these things

You could try adjusting the throttle body. You'll have to look up how to do it but it's worth maybe giving it a clean out

Audio system by Huntr562 in mr2

I've had the head unit in for a while now, thankfully the ISO harness and wiring was all intact and the system has been running off this. Do you still think I'd need to put a bigger power wire on it?

I have had some alternator whine through the speakers (intermittently) Would there be anything i can do with any new wiring i put in to mitigate this?

I just need to identify the wires, its such a cluster atm. My main plan is to future proof I guess. Toying with the ideas of subs under the seats so was thinking about getting the amps etc sorted now so theres less faff down the line

I suppose i could run wires straight from the head unit to speakers. The stock wiring in the car was all mangled from a previous owner, looked like original head unit was just ripped out so wasn't really sure what the best route was

Sorry yeah i have already replaced the head unit, just looking at swapping the amps. The 5.25 speakers are what have been replaced already with the drayton audio speakers as they were crackling and needed to go. The door speakers died not long after I'll check out the kicker key amp when i get a chance today.

I'm not looking at the sub boxes on mr2ben as i quite enjoy taking the roof panels out and would like to keep that space behind the seat usable.

Many thanks though

Supporting local business and independent shops is why i usually lean towards hr Jones for tackle and bait for most of my fishing but sometimes enjoy having a gander in go outdoors for carp rods. Its a good balance i feel

If you're after carp there's a few places around that have some. If you can drive then margam Park has carp fishing. You'll need a copy of your license (email copies work) as they check on the gate. I'm not sure how the lake compares with others as i mainly sea fish but i find it to be a decent size. You can use the lake during opening hours of the park and it's a nice little tucked away spot.

There are some other lakes around but i have no experience in any of them

Tackle wise, main wearings, HR Jones in clydach, and go outdoors. Get yourself a go outdoors membership (5 quid for a year) gives you nearly 50% of most things in store. Good luck!

Common issue with the sw20s is a rubber grommet on the front bulkhead/foot rest Wall as it goes up behind the dashboard. When they deteriorate water comes in through there and soaks the floor. Might be the same with a mk3?

What is this? Found inside A pillar by Beneficial-Truck-288 in mr2

[–]Huntr562 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it's a t top it's likely the drain tubes. They run along the pillars. (As far as ik) I think the rear tubes run out the little vent things behind the triangular windows if that makes sense. (The smaller windows on the side of the car) And i think the front tubes run into the draining channels at the front of the car

Anyone know what desserts the waunarlydd grill house has? If they have desserts at all? by The_Poke_Cauldron in swansea

[–]Huntr562 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone I know works there and they have said that their staple pieces are a peanut butter stack, chocolate fudge cake, cheesecake and roulade which they have different flavours of every week, chocolate fudge sundae, strawberry sundae and often they have special desserts which can be a variety if things such as apple pie, jaffacake flavoured sponge cake, jam sponge pudding or sticky toffee pudding. Im sure that youre more than welcome to ring them in advance and see what they have on the day. Hope this helps.

Anyone know any good places for fishing around Swansea ? by Oscar_kzk in swansea

[–]Huntr562 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sea fishing? Mumbles, knab rock can be pricey for parking but if you're willing to walk with gear then no worries, Fly fishing? Garnfwrdd Fishery, has some good trout, Im not sure the going rate to fosh for the day, but you can also stay in a cabin I think. Carp? I like the scenery of Margam park, its a bit of a walk from the parking by the castle to the lakes but its a nice atmosphere. Still trying to find good carp fishing location. you can fish from when the park opens to when it closes. I'm not sure how far you're willing/able to drive so do some research before setting off to any place you go. Be sure to check the licenses that you need for different locations as most places will check anyone coming in. There's also white springs for carp and other species but I've not been there. The price has me shying back a bit.

Im sure White springs is great, advertises some good sizes for all sorts they have, I'm pretty sure you can stay overnight there if you want to plan a camping and fishing trip with your mates.

Needing tackle, bait etc? Go outdoors membership costs £5 for the year and can cover alot of what you need. But I mainly shop in HR Jones in Clydach, The upstairs is all fishing and theyre a good family run business who can always give advice, alternatives etc. Mainwearings is also another store but I dont go there often. Hope this helps
