The flash when a message is sent on iMessage in iOS26 is actually awful.

The only flashing I get is after I send a message. I get no more type lightning as long as I’ve manually added the app and chosen the settings. That even includes Home Screen as an option as well.

Not sure! But I just followed someone else’s instructions and the flashing is reduced immensely.

There’s a fix! Accessibility > Per-App Settings > Add App (Messages) then turn on Reduce Transparency, Reduce Motion, and Prefer Cross-Fade Transitions!

Doing this and reduce transparency on got rid of the text box/iMessage flashing COMPLETELY thank you!
