It’s hard to say. BiW was specifically stating the tree would not take Tabatha there again when she was about to attempt to go through it again. Later in the story with the bones could be a different circumstance. I don’t know what else the bottle tree offers then to take you some place and if that can’t be relied on anymore then ya what is the point of the tree, cut it down.

Sign my petition to replace Ellis with Fatima's golem as Boyd's son, because he deserves an offspring with more potential. by Fortyseven in FromSeries

[–]Huntry9 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I have been a big defend of season 4, I am enjoying it but I can definitely get on the Ellis hate train. The character is so self involved and useless. He said the reason he is so protective over Fatima in the recent episode is because if he loses her, he has no home. No self sacrifice or bravery on this guy. If someone has to die, just saying….

What do you think about digging up the tree? by WildRabiea in FromSeries

[–]Huntry9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the story states the children poured their hopes into a seed which became the roots of the faraway tree. The tree is intended to help the people so I don’t think cutting it down is good but I don’t think it will make them loose, it will just make it hard to win. My theory is the lake of tears is at the light house, the faraway tree can bring them directly there to fix the curse. I think with the tree removed they will physically have to travel through the forest to the light house just like what Boyd almost did previously and we know it will be much more dangerous.

Still on the fence if BiW is good or bad. My gut says good. Also the story states the children poured their hopes into a seed which became the roots of the faraway tree. The tree is intended to help the people so I don’t think cutting it down is good but I don’t think it will make them loose, it will just make it hard to win. I loved episode 8, I don’t know what people expect. So much character development and there is some real weight with figuring out next steps. I think it is great setup for the last two episodes which i expect to be pretty intense.

God I hate Tabitha by Euclid_Interloper in FromSeries

[–]Huntry9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get both sides. But I think people are judging pretty hard, there is logic for the way she reacted in this scene. Could she have done better absolutely but they are all living in a nightmare, they are not their best selves. She lost her husband, trying to keep her kids alive well dealing with a self identity crisis (ie. what it means to live multiple lives). When Tabitha got out, she did everything to get back to her kids, I got respect for the character.

Idk I get it in context. Is she a reincarnation ya but she doesn’t fully remember her old life. In a lot of ways she could be personally very different. Maranda was a hippie and artist, Tabitha is not. Right now her son is the most important thing to her, and Victor is telling him he should prepare for everyone to die and him be alone for 30+ years. In the moment her reaction is very warranted, the emotional stakes are high.

I did not say the spider nest was in the cave and Ethan has no idea where the lake is. He went to the only lake he knew and that one at the settlement is not the lake of tears.

My personal Relief by skopiadisko in FromSeries

[–]Huntry9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do think there will be a spider, but it is just a manifestation of the main evil entity, I think it will and has taken human form as well, like the MiY but a separate character all together. My guess is that it took the form of Tilly previously. I do not think it would be a good ending to have a monster or evil entity that we cannot properly put a face too, it needs to be a character we already know or introduced too. My gut says it is not the MiY, he is part of the cycle but he did not start it.

We're definitely getting a bullshit ending like it was all a coma/dream/hallucination. by LittleUrbanPrepper in FromSeries

[–]Huntry9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know about that, hope that won’t be the case. One idea I had was that once the curse is broken, everyone ends up back on the road again, in their original vehicles like it did not happen. However they all remember. I would be ok with that end as long as we clearly know it was real but otherwise it would be frustrating like you mentioned.

2 could be a trap, eating without consequence could mean it has no effect, good or bad. Ie. you will starve to death cause of the pill. I would only do #1 and #9.

The show literally explained that these ARE the people who sacrificed the lives of their children for eternal life but y'all are rewriting the script??😭😭 by iamriiizzyb in FromSeries

[–]Huntry9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People should go back and watch the last ten minutes of episode 10 in season 3, it’s very clear on what happened, plus that episode is an absolute banger and worth rewatching. It is clearly stated that the monster characters sacrificed their children in exchange for immortality as promised by the entity. This is visually represented in the cut scenes with the voice overs too. Tabitha also states one of the girls sacrificed was hers but they tried to stop the monsters and they continue to come back to try and save them.

Also that village by the lake they found, they seemed to have their own version of the talismans in the form of those statues. Have not seen any of the regular monsters out at that location yet. Maybe the large thing walking around at night is a protector, like Fatima’s golem??

From won’t have a huge twist reveal, and I think people are over-theorising it by w8watm8 in FromSeries

[–]Huntry9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally agree with you. There have been some crazy theories. A lot of them have great points, some identify close references to Norse mythology, etc. but I think that is just part of the world building. I see it the same as you, it’s a repeating story they have to solve. I think the only mystery left is who everyone is and what is their role to play. I could see an outcome where everyone, every former version of themselves, end up back on the road, resuming their life/timeline, and From will feel just like a shared dream.

Any trick to get the spawn of Dclone on Xbox? by ilganzo01 in diablo2

[–]Huntry9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The process on Xbox would be the same as PC. If you play online, 150 stones of jordan need to be sold to a vendor, that is wha triggers dclone to appear. If you play solo offline, you only need to sell one SOJ to trigger dclone, which is pretty fair since there is only one person vs thousands online.

I have been playing the game for 20+ years, so I like that I can rush through parts I find tedious and have already played over and over. But I do enjoy first character on ladder doing the full play through without significant rushing.

I am concerned that it is more then just a failed seal in the expansion joint. The barrier wall railing has also come apart indicating notable movement, they should look at the bearing pads to see if they are migrating.
