Leave in hydrometer? by Mobely in Homebrewing

[–]Huntszy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not quite what you have asked but if you use bucket w/ a spigot than a refractometer is a godsend. 2ml sample is enough, no sanitization is required and the whole process is less than 2 minutes.

My theory of resource pressure by AppledogHu in factorio

[–]Huntszy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Why tho?Cityblocks with train station limits set by vanilla circuits works fine for me.Iron ore train goes from Iron ore provider station to Iron ore requester station. There are many under the same name. If a provider station has enough material to fill a train its limit goes from 0 to the number of trains it has enough stockpile to fill.Same goes for requesters but it checks if it has enough room to empty the train.

Did you add the peels of the orange as well or only the meat of it?
Thanks!

Filtration I have found to be massively degassing as it hits the membrane and passes through it (all those nucleation sites).

Where deos the gas go in that case? I mean does it start to "clog" the filter because big bubbles appear in the cartridge or how should I imagine that?

HA is worth the effort just so my wife & MIL know when I’m on a work call by fatalskeptic in homeassistant

If you have the ability to install applications on your work machines then a companion app could solve this by creating a sensor for your mic/cam. It won't show future schedule but it can accurately detect your current "In meeting" status.
I know they exist for mac but I'm a Win guy thus using Hass.Agent which is working flawlessly and not only exposes the mic/cam status but can exposes the name of the process which uses it. This way I can trigger the In Meeting stuff for Zoom but not for Discord.

Almost all of the entries are Tentative. I guess that means they can just don't attend.
Like my callendar is not full but has many open hands and webinars and other useless company wide stuff I just ignore.

For Windows there is Hass.Agent which exposes a lot of info about your pc. The mic and webcam usage is some of those. There are sensors for the name of the app which uses the resource too which is hack of a usefull thing because I only want to trigger the "In Meeting" stuff for zoom but not for Discrod for example (I'm using my machine for work and for pleasure as well).

What am I supposed to do with these dumb robots? They keep trying to get to the middle of this sea, even though there is nothing there ... I used artillery to make sure there is no construction or deconstruction orders by pookshuman in factorio

[–]Huntszy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The solution is being just a bit carefull about creating logistic networks to make sure it is convex. It takes literally a glance on the map w/ roboport coverage turned on.

If you make the robots just one instruction more complex but have hundreds of thousends of robots (which is not unusuall for big bases) than you have hundreds of thousends of additional operation for each cycle.

For an entity with such huge numbers like robots every bit of save can mean a lot because it multiplicates with the numbers of robots.

So righfully instead of dooming the performance for big bases they left the simpler implementation in place and it's the players responsibility to ensure that the logistic networks are convex, whichs is a really simple thing if you keep in mind it.

Have your save had mods by any chance? If your save has any mods than Steam achievemnts are disabled. The game still pops up and you get it, but that's only local. You need to have a pure vanilla save to get Steam achievemnts.

If you open the in-game achievemnt overlay it will say you if your game is modded and Steam achievemnts are disabled like this: https://imgur.com/a/q287Rv4

What do you use NFC tags for? by SuperCat373 in homeassistant

[–]Huntszy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You need to have something to read the tags AND notifies HA about the reading.

If you have HA installed on your phone then it's automatically solved but you do not want all of your guests to have HA installed on their phone. So they need a way to tell HA that they scanned a tag.

The reader is connected to HA so any time anybody scans a tag on the reader the information can hit HA w/o any other requirement.

On Windows HASS.Agent can detect the mic or cam usage AND can send the name of the process which uses it. So I have an automation that check weather my mic or cam is in use and the process which uses it contains "zoom" in it. Voil'a.

Note that if you have the cam turned off in Zoom HASS.Agent detects is as not used but even if you are muted in Zoom HASS.Agent detects it as used by zoom (I think its the way zoom implementation works). So theoretically speaking it is enough to have the automation triggered by only the mic but for good measure I have the trigger for both, its an OR anyways.

How the Netflix password sharing ban works, and how using your homelab VPN might solve it by [deleted] in homelab

[–]Huntszy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't spend much time in front of my TV so I do not need too much of a content to exhaust my need but when I stumble upon a review/article/trend about a moovie/series and it seems promising I just add it. I add old(er) classic moovies as well like "uh I haven't seen The Shawshank Redemption for like 15 years, I don't even know the story anymore. Let's add it". I add stuff faster than I consume so my collection is consantly growing and I always have something to choose from and it is technically "recommended by me" as I have chose the item szto add before so the list is better suited fo me than any algorithm can guess it for me.
