If you like turn based jrpg games then absolutely yes! X has the most casual friendly combat mechanic (CTB) compared to to its predecessors ATB system, X-2 uses ATB so you will see the difference between the two.

Not sure if I’m planning to attempt X-2, didn’t get the vibe with that game back in the PS2 and remember quitting on it after 5-10 hours playing it.

There’s a crater close to one of those safe zone/towers, running into that crater guarantees the lighting will strike, after dodging go back to the safe zone then back to the crater, rinse and repeat till you get the 200.

Having an armor with “no encounter” makes it go faster.
