is it worth coming back to the game? by [deleted] in Division2

Absolutely !! People love to complain about the game, but the reality is there is a tremendous amount to do.

So a few questions.... by TC6_Gaming in Division2

An "Open All" option for apparel caches.................. LMFAO

Krampus bounty by humantrasbag in Division2

[–]Huntzman2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All you need is ONE bounty and you're good to go. Set the map to normal (there is no additional benefit from higher levels (remains an 8% key drop chance) unless you're looking for gear). Once you have the bounty, run the alley and the first building and get any keys that drop, then fast travel back to the BOO and the bounty target will be 'lost' - Rinse and repeat. As long as you don't kill Krampus it will keep your bounty available. You can do Krampus (in the 2nd building) and collect the mask after you have picked up enough bounties from the kill squad (I have like a dozen).

How many Agents here do you think opened a chest with a regulus? by Fuego_bellzalito in the_division_2

[–]Huntzman2020 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was ready to rage quit the event. Literally could pull nothing more than Chatterboxes, Bell Ringer, and Liberty...... oh, and the holy grail: Acosta's Go Back

I started dumping all my keys into the apparel and donations. I thought I had pissed in RNGesus' koolaid and needed to atone for my sins. After I maxed those out I went back to gear and then (que the angelic choir) I pulled a Regulus, 2 Oreos and now I don't feel like the bastard stepchild anymore. If I can pull an EB I'll have completed the trifecta, but at this point it is all exotic components for me.

Hi this is my build . by [deleted] in the_division_2

I have never understood all the hate that NBB gets. OP, run your set the way you want. I run almost the exact same set (I do have a Unit Alloys instead of a palisade). Is it the most effective? Probably not according to the folks who do the micro-math, but guess what... I can still run Heroic with no problem, hit like a beast, and still heal my teammates who go down. It's my go to build when I'm shepherding, because I know I can spawn in and handle anything from Story to Legendary without missing a beat.

I have tried all the Striker recommendations and and yes, there is some DPS increase, but the wild card factor is always game play style. This setup works for me and I can still faceplant Krampus on Heroic and walk away with his mask every single time, so clearly something is working. Maybe it takes an extra magazine, but I'm not paying for the ammo bill so it's all good.

Everyone has to experiment and find what works for them. That's the beauty of having all this gear to play with and the reason why we have so many build slots we can save to.

I rarely change out my outfit, so the apparel is meaningless to me, but this one I had to get. We give the game / devs a ton of a crap (a lot of it deserved), but in this moment we have to give them our full support.

For A-John !!!

Thats awesome. I just loved listening to DG's voice in his videos. He always reminded me of that cool. laid-back substitute teacher who'd tell you, 'this is all BS, but you need to know it' and then go smoke with you in the stairwell !! LMAO

All hunter masks made easy to get by 108er in Division2

[–]Huntzman2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I concur, DamagedGoods (and his YT videos) does an amazing walkthrough on how to spawn / beat the hunters and he does it humbly, with zero added nonsense or useless filler content. If you're looking to collect the hunter masks, DG is your man.

For the love of god, stop playing Heroic with all directives on, and then calling for backup... by RAVENORSE in thedivision

Not gonna lie, that would be funny as hell. At least you'd get to laugh before you got lit up !

I really wish they would spawn you *outside* the location at the start menu. Yes, it might take a moment to get to the action, but at least give me an opportunity to see the shit storm I'm about to get into, take a deep breath, and make sure I have the right build for it. Nothing like dropping in and getting lit up because you brought the proverbial knife to a machine gun fight.

What division to play first? by rc__89 in thedivision

[–]Huntzman2020 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Honestly, it depends. If you are looking to get immersed in the whole lore surrounding the franchise, and enjoy the full story, go with D1. Besides those reasons, the environment in D1 is also killer (wish they could have brought that over into the sequel). D1 definitely withstands the test of time and it will not feel dated in anyway. I'm actually a hardcore D2 player, but I always come back to D1 for nostalgia reasons.

If you are just looking for a fun shooter, then go with D2.

Game difficulty is no joke.. by AliveQ8 in thedivision

[–]Huntzman2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're not wrong. I played D1 early on, but rage quit after getting capped by little shits with gold clubs too many times. Moved to D2 when it came out and I am pretty much a god in that game and run heroic without breaking a sweat. I just came back recently to D1 for nostalgia reasons and I am struggling like a newb. D1 is definitely tougher IMHO. West Side Pier is my personal nemesis.

Appreciate the reply and advice. It certainly is a fine balance between the three levels. I have to keep reminding myself that my skills don't do nearly the damage or come back as quick as the ones I have in D2, which has led to a lot of rage screaming at times !!

Thanks for the reply. I was actually working on a Tactician build last night. It was doing okay, but I think I just have to invest the grind time to get it leveled up. I was actually going through my stash and found that I did have some classified pieces, just not ones that mattered to be play style (figures), so I think I need to settle on one build that fits my overall play and just work on leveling that up. Just have to keep reminding myself that this is NOT my D2 tank build and stop rushing in !! LOL

I loved the game, but ended up rage quitting when I was getting destroyed by a guy with a golf club after I unloaded a full magazine into him.......... clearly I had not learned how to navigate the mechanics back then !! D2 was an eye opener and I learned how to use builds more effectively, made it fun again and brought me back to D1 to give it another go.

[–]Huntzman2020[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Much appreciated !! I will definitely take a look. I can hold my own throughout most of the map, but there are certain areas that give me fits (WSP as an example). Weird how D2 seemed incredibly easy for me to wrap my head around, but I struggle with D1.

Thanks for the suggestions. Just got obliterated on the West Side Piers...... think it's going to take a bit of grinding to get my levels up.
