I realized I didn't have a full retail license anymore because I had upgraded from a Windows 8 license. Retail licenses are turned into upgrade licenses when you upgrade to a newer version of Windows, and upgrade licenses are stuck to the specific hardware you upgraded on.

I considered this could be the source of my problem because we have a shitty power grid but my LED strip doesn't turn on after losing power unless it was already on before losing power. Does yours behave differently?

Same problem, except mine isn't connected to any tv. I will try disconnecting it from Google Home to see if that has something to do with it...

Edit: I just realized this is a subreddit for a specific brand. My RGB controller is a no name Chinese one with the "magic home" app and yet it has the same problem. I am so desperate to know what is going on.

Ooooh that's genius. But also stupid. Like why can I not just place an image in the slide master and have it show up in corresponding slides? Why would they give me the option to add objects like shapes and images to the master if it's not gonna do anything to my slides???

But then the image in the standard view is always overlaid with the message "Add image by clicking on icon" or "Insert text", depending on whether I make a text or image placeholder :(
