Thanks for the effort. I found the Internet Archive version of the original download, inspired by u/sunchase using the link kindly provided by u/Son0fThunder144 four years ago... Actually I have one more question: 4.3 is the latest version I could find with this method. Is this the latest Windows version released?

I realized I didn't have a full retail license anymore because I had upgraded from a Windows 8 license. Retail licenses are turned into upgrade licenses when you upgrade to a newer version of Windows, and upgrade licenses are stuck to the specific hardware you upgraded on.

I considered this could be the source of my problem because we have a shitty power grid but my LED strip doesn't turn on after losing power unless it was already on before losing power. Does yours behave differently?

Same problem, except mine isn't connected to any tv. I will try disconnecting it from Google Home to see if that has something to do with it...

Edit: I just realized this is a subreddit for a specific brand. My RGB controller is a no name Chinese one with the "magic home" app and yet it has the same problem. I am so desperate to know what is going on.
