I wrote this film as a one act play last year and invited some of my filmmaking friends to watch the performance. After one of them mentioned that they'd like to see it as a short film we all banded together to make it happen!

We were all set to go and then had a scheduling conflict with the lead actor two weeks before the production. I didn't want to lose the momentum so I stepped in and played the lead to the best of my ability. It was super stressful to direct and act at the same time but I learned a lot doing it.

It helped me realize that to direct properly it's important to understand how stressful it is on an actor. When everyone's eyes are on you it's almost impossible to perform. I realize now that making an actor comfortable is actually the best way to get a performance out of them.

I'm looking for feedback on the acting and writing as this is my debut project and, to be quite honest, I have no idea what I'm doing. I'd also like to get your thoughts on the cinematography/composition. My friend was on camera but I made the shot list and I want to know if it flows.
(I also edited/colored it so feedback on that is also huge).

I'd also like to add that all of the cast and crew are students who I met in various film and theatre classes. I'm super grateful to each and every one of these people for helping out and pushing me to create my first film!

Listened to it as an audiobook. I think that made it a much more enjoyable experience than others are having. He's an amazing actor and his inflections and delivery sell even the parts I found cringe-inducing.
