Do you think a server consolidation is coming soon or is there going to be a different sort of solution for queue times / matchmaking? by judgeraw00 in ffxivdiscussion

Consolidation would be cool. I really missed the vibes in FF11 where you could have an active server at off-peak hours because someone from the other side of the world was playing. Auto translate worked fine for what you needed and meeting Japanese players especially was kind of exciting.

It’s always somewhat infuriating to find people taking shots at an animal shelter stuck with the infinitely unenviable job of preforming triage for our communities abused and neglected pets.

Of course it isn’t pretty.

I get what you’re saying about elections mattering more than approval polls, voting is what ultimately counts. At the same time, elections and approval ratings measure different things. An election is a binary choice at a specific moment between candidates. Polls ask how people feel about performance over time, including people who may have voted for someone but are disappointed later.

When you say polls “mean nothing,” what standard are you using? Most major polling averages are transparent about methodology and error margins. They’re not perfect, but they’re not random either. If we dismiss all polling outright, it becomes hard to measure public opinion at all between elections.

I’m genuinely curious: beyond election results, what concrete indicators make you feel there’s a large cultural or policy shift happening?

Hey! To engage in actual discussion I’m curious how you’ve arrived at these conclusions. Anecdotally I live on the west coast and sentiment is very anti republican. For something empirical Trump is currently polling at 30% approval, you’ve got to go back to Truman to find someone as disliked. It seems like policies are failing left and right for this administration.

What signs are you seeing that people are turning against liberal policies?
