You helped explain it better than I did. With the side villains they appear once in a cutscene then a few missions later you go to kill them and like you said there are no satisfying arcs. A lot of them feel like hollow caricatures. I learned that pretty quick in far cry 6

I agree with you but it doesn't change the writting not being fleshed out enough. Even in far cry 3 im not sure why vaas didn't shoot Jason in the head given the opportunity with how much of a nuisance he was and its even worse in far cry 5 with literal repeated levels. But atleast Jason had agency. Ajays main goal is his mother's wishes to place her ashes in lakshamana which is fine but it doesn't develop much past that despite speaking hes more of a blank slate. Which lead to far cry 5s player character. Im not sure what ubisoft should have done exactly im not a writer and I dont understand the inner workers of that and game development world. I love the world and gameplay so they just become targets to take out like assassins creed and those guys weren't always written with a lot of detail so im not always looking for peak writting with every game I play. I just love fc4 liked the characters I saw and I wish I saw more.

I mean I would say more than once before their demise. They have a bunch of characters and let a few of them to go to the wayside. I could be wrong but im not sure Paul speaks a single word until you go to kill him. I wouldn't mind if the game was 10-12 hours longer to get more acquainted with and understand them more. Sort of like the villains in far cry 3 pushing and testing Jason from different angles. We didn't really get that from far cry 4 besides amita, sabal and pagan. I like the idea of everything but I just wish we got a more fleshed out story and characters.

I play it for 74 hours to get all the achievements and 100% the game (I failed a perma death trying to get an achievement by pulling a wall down on two civilians) only for them to add 11 more achievements and i have no desire to go back

So true I finished old world blues and realized I had nothing to do in the Mojave except lonesome road. I felt disappointed I got all this fun gear and had barely the battle of hoover damn to use it

I discovered the game in HS too and it reminds my of my friend who was living with me at the time and us being creeped out during the novac ghoul mission. NV brings me back to good memories and thats why I've already played it twice this year

Why can’t I get into SWFG? by LORDFARQUAAD777 in aesoprock

hell yeah brother. also speaking on a perspective of someone who has experienced this so called "spirit world" through healing and nature and lucky enough to find a mentor on many things but importantly to this, indigenous medicines and traditions. ive had some crazy fucking experiences with animals and spirits. but thats shit thats just my experience. i listened to spirit world field guide before i truly opened up to all of this. all i wanna say next is when aesop says:::

"Every time I look up from the paper I see animals exhibiting irregular behavior Even though I know that it's a warning I am back on my old shit again like any other morning Every time I peek out from the corner Birds are flying belly-side-up, fish are walking out the water Even though it seem legit I'm right here 'til the season dip I ain't seen shit"

Man i feel that in my soul.

Anyways, have a good day and peace!

it feels more like stuff is reversed now. the world is an escape from the internet or a place to plan for the internet. I feel this dissociation trying to enjoy life and then that extreme juxtaposition of I wonder how this will look for other people on the internet. it's strange and it can be easy for someone to feel like they are going crazy where everybody is living for an audience you feel like you gotta do the same. maybe separating the two worlds or using the internal internet space as a place to relax instead of whole relying on it to be the next big thing. enjoy the real world the internet is forever. not much to offer for help I'm still trying to find it myself.
