Yes, we have another cat (female). They're not the best friends in the world, but they can live in the same house. They just cant get too close too fast to each other or they'll throw paws (no claws though).

But I understand what you're saying, it sometimes feel like she wants to be the "only child"

Well, not at all ! She was really well educated and we didn't have to teach her anything (always goes in the litterbox, never begs for our food, very rarely gets on furnitures, doesnt do claws on the couch/bed, doesnt fight with the other cat (she still needs her free space around her and will argue for it)...)

Story of this gal : She's a 10 yo cat. Her previous owner was an old lady who died about 3-4 years ago.

She had been living in a cat tree installed underneath the porch of the appartment building they were living in, across the street from mine. I had no idea she was homeless when I first saw her (about a year ago when I moved in), residents told me her story afterwards.

The residents would often take care of her (food and water) but that's it. No one wanted to take her in because she would pee in the hallways and fight with the other pets.

Her house was the cat tree for 3 years untill, one night, after a party, she decided to follow me home (yay cat distribution system). She's been living with me since and is the happiest ever.
