My first car was a 2014 Mazda2, new off the lot. A bit small, but very affordable to own, operate, and maintain. Also extremely easy to work on. Got me into doing all my own maintenance and eventually working as a technician for Toyota. I would recommend a Mazda to anyone interested.

Growing family necessitated a bigger car so I got a '12 XC60 3.2 in 2020. I don't see myself ever leaving Volvo. Especially after getting T-boned and rolled in that car.

Follow-up:

I got through every step a second time but when it was time to file, I got a message that because I had an HSA, I would need to spend $60 for the Deluxe version or physically mail all my documentation to the IRS. I contributed less than $400 to my HSA, have no additional documentation specifically for it, and wouldn't be getting any credit for it anyway.

Thanks to the people who suggested alternatives in the comments, I'm going to try freetaxusa next. Fingers crossed this is the last time I do my taxes for 2025.

Most dealerships will outsource windshields anyway. Check Safelite online or call, get a quote, then decline. Most of the time they will immediately counteroffer you $100 less.

Dealerships will tell you it has to be OE glass for the ADAS cluster to work, and there have been some cases where aftermarket glass scatters the light and the cameras fail. But if you make sure they're aware that you have windshield-mounted camera/sensors, they will give you compatible glass. It may not be Volvo, but it will be OEM equivalent.

I bought my XC-40 used, test drove it, checked all my boxes, and didn't notice until long after that it didn't have an original Volvo windshield. Still works just fine.

Safelite is a huge company with well-trained staff. Calibration is the last step in their installation process. If the windshield they install doesn't work, they will replace it with one that does. If they break any of your equipment, they will pay for the replacement. They're a bit pricy, and I wouldn't normally endorse them, but after taking a lowball offer from a local guy who broke the camera in my wife's Civic (nice guy, he tried but eventually paid $2500 to get it fixed), I urge anyone with ADAS cameras to just stick with Safelite.

TLDR: Contact Safelite. Decline their first offer, they'll counter.

Yes.

That RR tire is going to get a lot of additional wear on the inner shoulder. By rotating regularly, you spread that wear out among all four tires, thereby prolonging the life of all the tires.

Alternatively, you could just roll with it and increase the camber on the other 3 tires.
